Hey girl, today let’s chat about how you can make the classic Peanut Butter Blossoms!
I don’t know about you but it just isn’t Christmas without at least 1 batch of Peanut Butter Blossoms. My mom is the queen when it comes to making Christmas treats and this treat has always been on her baking list.
Not that Peanut Butter Blossoms can only be made at Christmas. These make great birthday cookies, baby shower cookies, graduation cookies, and cookies for kids.
Now that I have 4 kids of my own, we make 1 batch of Peanut Butter Blossoms for our house (they still get lots more at Grandma’s).
My kids love making these Christmas cookies with me and I know your kids will love to help you out as well.
If you make these Peanut Butter Blossoms and add them to your Christmas cookie platter, drop a picture in the comments below.

Peanut Butter Blossoms Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ Cup Unsalted Butter
- ½ Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- ½ Cup White Sugar plus ¼ Cup to coat the cookie dough balls
- ½ Cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 ¾ cups flour
- 1 Bag Brach's Chocolate Stars
I love using the Brach's Chocolate Stars in my Peanut Butter Blossoms! But if you want to try something different, you can use Hershey's Kisses instead.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cream butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Use that adjustable measuring cup for the peanut butter.
- Add white sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Cream again.
- Finally, add the baking soda, salt, and last of all the flour. Mix until all the ingredients are combined.
- Using the cookie scoop, scoop out dough into your hand and shape it into a ball. Then roll that ball in white sugar and place it on a cookie sheet.
- Bake the cookies for 8 minutes. At this point, the cookies are not done. Take them out of the oven and press a Brach's Chocolate Star to the middle of each ball. It should flatten to about ¼ inch thick.
- Return to the oven for about 2 – 4 minutes. Your cookies should be light golden brown.
Helpful Tips
- These cookies can cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes before you move them to a cooling rack.
- I like baking the cookies for a total of 10 minutes. You get a softer cookie that way.
- Store these deliciously classic Peanut Butter Blossoms in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.
