Best Moms' Night Out Ideas
1. Eat at a Restaurant
It doesn’t get much better than hanging with your girls while someone cooks for you.
This is one of my favorite ways to spend time with my girls.
What kind of food is your favorite when you eat out? Let me know in the comments below.
2. Drinks
If you don’t have time for a whole meal, just grab a drink together. You can figure a lot of stuff out in the time it takes to have 1 drink.
3. Wine Tours
I always feel a bit fancy when we pick to go on a wine tour and the locations are usually picturesque.
The food is the part that we all look forward to since it is nothing like what we usually make at home.4. Get Your Nails Done
Go and get pampered together. Getting your nails done is a great way to relax and chat.
Do you like manicures and pedicures? Let me know in the comments below.
I am more of a pedicure kind of girl since I can never make my manicure last that long.
5. Book Club
My sisters and I do a virtual book club together once a month.
It is a great way to stay connected and have something to talk about other than our kids since we live farther apart.
6. Movies
There are always new movies that hit the theater so why not see them with your girls?
My husband doesn’t always want to see the movies that I do so I save those to see with a friend or 2.
7. Broadway Show
Get dressed up and see a Broadway show.
I have never been to NYC but have been to theaters near me and the plays have never disappointed me.
If you are on a budget, look for smaller and more local theaters. They can put on some pretty spectacular plays as well.
The best play that I have seen by far was Singing in the Rain with my sisters and my daughter.
8. Bowling
Bowling is a fun way to let out some frustration (on the pins) while being competitive and hanging with friends.
Be honest with me, who is the most competitive one in your group? I know that it is me.
9. DIY Arts and Crafts
Take a class for pottery, painting canvases, and all other arts and crafts under the sun.
You don’t have to look far to find them. Check your local arts and crafts store to start. They usually offer something along these lines.
10. Cooking Lessons
Do you feel like you are stuck in a rut when it comes to cooking? Me too!
Spice it up and take a cooking lesson!
11. Sports Game
What sports are you and your girls into? It doesn't matter what you pick because you know you will be chatting through the game anyway 😊.
12. Karaoke
Karaoke night will create some laughable memories to look back on. Even if it isn’t your thing, you should try it.
13. Dancing Lessons
First of all, dancing is such great exercise and a mood lifter that everyone should be doing it. If there is a type of dancing that has always interested you, find lessons for it.
I have always wanted to know how to do ballroom and swing dancing properly.
14. Concert
Who would you go bananas over to see in concert? Get your tickets and your girlfriends and sing the night away.
You can also choose to see an orchestra. It amazes me every time I get to see one.
I am a big George Strait fan and have always wanted to see him in concert.
15. Comedy Club
Have you ever been to a comedy club?
I have been to one twice. Once was an improv show and once was a comedian. I have to say, I much prefer those comedians who can make the audience laugh and keep it relatively clean at the same time.
16. Game Night
Do you and your girls take turns hosting Moms' night out at someone's house? Then you should bust out some board games.
Try Pictionary, Catch Phrase, or Ticket to Ride.
17. Murder Mystery
I am not sure how many girls are in your group but if it is a crowd try a Murder Mystery.
Encourage everyone to dress up and play the role. It is more fun when everyone is into it.
We did one for my sister’s bachelorette party and people are still talking about it 8 years later!
18. Shopping
If you are anything like me then you trust that your girlfriends will give you their honest opinion when it comes to shopping and you are grateful for that.
19. Antiquing
You can find some pretty interesting and must-have pieces for your home when you go antiquing.
A few of my sisters can’t get enough of just browsing through antique stores.
20. Theme Night
Does your Moms’ night out need a little pick me up? Try having a theme night.
For example, go out to eat and say dresses only or go have a game night but in 1920s flapper attire.
21. Scavenger Hunt
Put together a scavenger hunt, hand out the rules and teams, and send everyone on their way.
This is so much fun for a couple’s party too.
Here is a Halloween Scavenger Hunt example for you.

22. Rock Climbing
There are indoor rock climbing walls all around and it is fun.
But be warned, you may feel it in your muscles over the next couple of days. It is quite the workout.
23. Archery
Take an archery class.
My daughter did this not very long ago and loved it. I was just a spectator but the instructor made it sound so interesting that I wanted to try it too.
It is on our bucket list now.
24. Biking
If it is still light out, or your Moms’ night out is actually during the day, go for a bike ride together.
You are knocking out two birds with one stone here – girl time and exercise.
25. Yoga
And speaking of exercise, try a yoga class.
I love going to yoga with a friend. There is something about it that makes me feel more confident.
Have you tried hot yoga? There are a few classes that just opened in my town but I haven’t had a chance to get in there yet.
26. Casino
If you are anything like me then going to the casino just isn’t your vibe and that’s ok! But I do know that other people have fun with it.
27. Scrapbooking
Get together and work on that scrapbook you’ve been meaning to put together for a while now.
It is also a fantastic way to bounce ideas off one another.
28. Seasonal Activities
Plan your activity based on what season it is.
Visit a greenhouse in the spring.
When it is summer you can hit up the beach for a bit before the sun goes down.
In the fall check out an apple orchard or pumpkin patch.
And during the winter, get your baking on.
29. Ice Skating
Ice skating isn’t just for the winter anymore. There are ice rinks that offer free skate usually for a small fee.
The ice rink near us even offers skate rentals for $3.
30. Visit a Museum
Check out a museum or tour an old mansion. It is more fun than it sounds and you may learn something!
