2. Books
Reading is so important so I try to include at least 1 book in every gift I give my kids. Build that library girl!
The Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series is so good and funny.
We just discovered this series which is funny and so engaging - Dog Diaries. I am laughing out loud with my boys to these books.
3. Joke Book
And sticking with the book theme, if your son is into jokes, toss in a joke book.
4. Paper Airplanes
A paper airplane book will keep him busy for a while. This book has easy-to-follow directions to make epic paper airplanes.
Have a contest with him to see whose airplane can go the farthest.
5. Legos
I know there are a ton of Lego sets to choose from but in my experience, the classic Legos get played with the most. And they give your son a chance to use his imagination!
6. Games
Pop a small game or 2 in there that will make his brain think.
Tenzi Dice Game, Kanoodle Puzzle Game, and a Rubik’s Cube or Rubik's Pyramid are great options. My son has a Rubik’s Pyramid because he said he wanted more of a challenge.
If you want to get crazy, go for a handheld Chess game.
7. Board Games
If you are looking for a bigger board game instead of those small ones, try Ticket to Ride or Sorry.
Those are the fan favorites around here.
8. Yo-Yo
There are so many tricks to master on a yo-yo. I didn’t realize before my son got his yo-yo that there are different ones for different skill levels.
Since your son is 11, go for the intermediate skill level or higher otherwise he will master it so fast and then he won’t use it.
9. Slime Kit
Nope, 11 is not too old to play with slime.
This slime kit is perfect for making lots of slime including glow-in-the-dark slime, which you know he will have to make sure that it does.
10. National Geographic Science Kit
National Geographic makes some awesome science kits.
There is an Earth Science Kit, a Science Magic Kit, an Amazing Reactions kit, and more for your son to enjoy.
11. Robot
Check out this little robot guy. It is a 12 in 1 solar robot and it is on the smaller side.
If your son loves STEM then this robot is a must.
12. Football
I am pretty sure your son has a football, but does he have this Nerf Blitz football? It is the perfect size and you never have to pump it up.
We have 3 of them, among lots of others, and these are the ones my boys always pick.
13. Remote Control Car
He is going to love driving around a controlled car. This is the one my son has and he can drive it inside and outside.
I don’t think boys grow out of wanting to play with remote control cars ever.
Our neighbor is at least 50 years old and he has a mega one that he drives around all the time. My boys love watching that one but girl, I looked it up and that one is expensive!
14. Sports Cards
Is your son into sports? Have you gifted him any sports cards? They make fabulous Easter Basket fillers.
Your son will spend hours poring over them.
A good friend of mine who has collected sports cards since he was young said the Panini cards are the best.
Get him a small binder- holds 4 cards per page or a big binder - holds 9 cards per page to go with them so he doesn’t leave cards lying all over your house.
15. Nerf Guns
What are your feelings about Nerf Guns? They are so much fun that I love them but man, I find those Nerf darts all over the place.
Regardless, I am sure your son loves them as much as my son does!
16. Laser Tag
If he doesn’t have laser tag, you have to get him this set!
It works with or without the vests and of course, the best time your son can play them with his buds is when it is dark outside!
He will have years of fun with these.
17. Binoculars
Do you have an outdoorsman on your hands? Get him a set of binoculars.
I would wait on going expensive here because he is only 11 and I know those binos are going to get dropped a time or 2.
18. Walkie Talkies
Up his Nerf and laser tag game with a set of walkie-talkies.
The only way to go here is to get man walkie-talkies.
Don't even waste your money on a cheap pair like I did, unfortunately.
19. Light Up Baseball
Is baseball his game? He can throw the ball as the sun goes down with a light-up baseball.
20. Water Bottle
Get him a stellar water bottle in his favorite color. You can’t go wrong with Hydro Flask.
Their water bottles keep liquids cold for so long and are completely spill-proof.
21. Watch
My son has this fitness watch (and my daughter does too) and they love it. I have been impressed with it as well.
It isn’t an all-out smart watch but I didn’t want to take that plunge right off the bat in case they lost interest in wearing them.
He can easily charge it with a USB.
22. Sunglasses
There are so many styles of sunglasses for your son so go with the ones you know he will wear.
My boys all have different styles. The 11 year old likes more of a wrap-around style of sunglasses, the 9 year old loves aviators, and my 7 year old loves his party sunglasses (that is what he calls them).
23. T-Shirt
I am sure your son has a favorite character or appreciates graphic print t-shirts. Get him his favorite in the next size up.
Super Mario is a huge hit around here.
24. Swim Gear
Swimming season is right around the corner (at least it is for us) and I am sure your son could use new swim gear.
Hook him up with swim shorts, a swim shirt, swim shoes (if you swim in other places than just a pool), and swim goggles.
25. Water Football
I know we already talked about a regular football, which by the way - that Nerf Blitz football is not made for water (we learned that the hard way), but does your son have a water football?
He is going to have an absolute blast with it.
26. Baseball Hat
Hats, hats, hats, boys love baseball-style hats.
If he has a favorite sports team, that is your best option to go with.
27. Crocs
Does your son love wearing Crocs as much as all my boys do?
I am sure his feet grew, just like the rest of him, so grab him a new pair.
28. Fishing Gear
If your son is lacking a tackle box, you can get him one like this one. It is a great starter tackle box.
But if he is all set with a tackle box, get him some freshwater fishing lure spoons or frog lures.
They are the perfect size for an Easter Basket filler (and his Christmas stocking too).
This post was all about the best Easter basket ideas for 11 year old boy.
