MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
1. Thank You Card
My father-in-law is a retired teacher and he told me it never got old receiving handwritten thank you notes from parents. In fact, it was his favorite gift to get since it assured him that he was doing something right.
If you have time, have your kiddo make a card as well. That note could be as simple as “Thank you for being my teacher”.
Your teacher will have all the feels for sure!
2. Gift Card
If you have extra time, grab a gift card to a local coffee shop, Target, or Amazon.
I like doing our local coffee shop and putting $10 on the card. That is enough to get a coffee and a small snack.
Another reason I only put $10 on the card is that I have 4 kids and some of them have multiple teachers so the cost can add up quickly if I am not careful.
3. Flowers
Flowers are wonderful for any teacher but especially for the ladies.
It does not have to be a big bouquet either. And there are some pretty cheap options at local flower shops or even Walmart.
I find the smaller, cheaper flowers usually last longer too.
4. Chocolates
Everyone loves getting chocolates because they are a delicious treat!
A handwritten thank you note and chocolate – boom baby – gift complete.
5. Lotion
Take a trip down the lotion aisle and snag some for your teacher. I love Aveeno Fragrance Free lotion and have been using it for so long.
If you have multiple teachers to get gifts for, get the travel-sized lotions.
6. Candle
Girl, do I have a fantastic candle for you! This candle smells so good and the scent lasts until the candle is gone.
There are different sizes too so you can pick up a few smaller ones if you have more than one teacher to get one for.
I love this candle so much that I have backups in my pantry.
7. Breath Fresheners
If you know your teacher likes gum or other breath fresheners like Tic Tacs (ask your kiddo about it), they make a great simple gift which you can find at your local gas station or grocery store.
Even though I am not a gum person, my daughter is and her favorite kind is Extra – Sweet Watermelon.
8. Oven Mitt with Cookie Mix
I cannot take credit for this idea at all but I love passing it along because it is so cute.
Grab an oven mitt and add a bag of cookie mix along with a spatula. Your teacher can whip up a sweet treat when they are craving something sweet.
9. Shower Steamers
Now that summer is here, help your teacher relax as much as possible with these shower steamers.
They make your bathroom smell so good.
Since they are individually packed, you can split them up for multiple teachers.
10. Sunscreen
Since summer is here and I hope your teacher will find time to enjoy the sun, get a bottle of sunscreen.
It is so useful, and I am all about gifts that get used.
We have been using this spray sunscreen for years now and not a single sunburn in sight.
11. Nail Polish
For the ladies – get a classic nail polish. Most women love to have polish on during the summer, at least on their toes.
I have been a long-time fan of Essie nail polish and am a sucker for a good classic red.
Don't forget the clear topper to make the color polish last so much longer!
12. Fishing Lures
For the guy teachers out there, if you know he likes to fish get him a new lure.
If you aren’t sure if he is one, ask your kiddo. Fishermen like to talk about going fishing!
These lures work for the fish in our area. We fish for Walleye, Northern Pike, and Bass around here.
If this doesn’t sound familiar, ask someone at your local sporting goods store. They can help you out.
13. Lottery Tickets
Lottery tickets are so much fun for everyone, especially when you do not have to buy them. There is something about the anticipation of scratching it off to see if you won anything that gets people excited.
Who knows, you may put a few extra bucks in your teacher’s pocket for the summer😊.
I hardly gamble at all but the handful of times that I have, girl, I have never won a cent.
A huge congratulations on making it through this school year. I know this one has been a doozy for us and I am more than ready for a break.
Enjoy the summer with your kiddo and whatever you do, do wish the time away. It goes by too fast as it is.

What are your plans for the summer? Do you want to take any vacations with your kiddos?
We plan to take our kids to the Black Hills, go boating, fishing, swimming, camping, soccer, and softball, and hopefully have a few lazy days in there too. Whew, summer already has me worn out and it hasn’t even started yet.
I look forward to hearing from you and thanks for stopping by.
