Gather birthday pictures from when he was little, get them reprinted (maybe in a larger size), and hang them up all over your party.

You can keep this birthday party so simple by meeting out at a restaurant.  There is no cooking, cleaning, or major preparing for you.

If you are worried about the cost, you know you don’t have to pay for all the guests to eat.  It is ok to say on the invite something like: there is food for purchase but dessert will be provided.

This is one of my favorite kinds of parties.  A backyard cookout is so relaxing and easy.

Girl, you can make burgers, hotdogs, brats, chicken, and more.  No one can resist them.

Oh yeah, get those yard games out too.  You can keep them casual or make them into a competition of sorts.

Your guests are going to have the best time with an outdoor movie.  It is a fantastic way to end that backyard cookout.

Set up a snack bar full of salty and sweet treats to keep the movie theme going.

If you have enough guests to have a team scavenger hunt, I highly recommend it.  Groups of 3 – 4 usually work the best.

Have a list of local items they have to go to and get a picture or video of which has to include one member of their group.

Set a time limit.  When I set this up, I do a practice run so I know how much time to allow.

If you are from a rural area like me, you know a hayride party is a blast (and is super simple).  You can have snacks, drinks, and lots of laughs on a hayride.

So, if you know someone with a tractor and trailer, set that hayride up.

If you would rather stay out of the country, book a party bus instead.

They can usually pick you up at your house and drop you back off there, making sure everyone has a safe ride for this birthday adventure.
