If you plan on hosting this shindig, you need great appetizers and desserts.
These are delicious, easy to make, and have never failed me. Don’t plan on having leftovers!
30th Birthday Decorations For Him
Hey girl, before we get into all the bomb 30th birthday themes for guys, I have to tell you about some must-have party decorations that will work for any theme you choose.
Photo Booth
If there is one thing you need to have at this party, it is a photo booth.
I am telling you; your guests will have the best time with this so don’t skip it. And you will love seeing all the pictures.
You can keep it simple or get pretty crazy about it.
We do a photo booth for every party and holiday and everyone joins in on the fun.
Here are some easy photo booth items that won’t break your bank but are still a lot of fun.
Walking Decorations
I got this idea from my aunt, she is so creative. For my dad’s 40th birthday party, she made shirts with various pictures of my dad on them for my siblings and me to wear.
All party long, guests were stopping all of us to check out fun pictures of my dad over the years.
She used white t-shirts and iron-on transfer paper to make them.
Birthday Pictures
Since you went through all the trouble of finding pictures of the birthday boy for those shirts, print a variety of them and hang them up everywhere.
Guests will have the best time looking at them all. I am sure you will hear a few "remember when" stories with this one.
30th Birthday Themes For Guys
30th Birthday Party Theme
This is about the easiest theme for his 30th birthday party – Dirty 30.
Grab a 30th birthday party decorations pack and add festive some plates and napkins – boom baby, you are all set.
Dress Like Your Parents
Have your guests pick a picture of their mom or dad then replicate the picture – hair, clothes, and all.
Ask your guests to bring the picture along to the party so everyone can see the comparison.
Backyard Cookout
Fire up that grill and have a cookout.
Most guys love grilling up some yummy burgers, brats, hotdogs, and chicken.
Set up irresistible yard games like these and your guests will flock to them.
Axe Throwing (Completely safe)
Laser Tag (It isn’t just for kids!)
Outdoor Movie Night

Set up an outdoor movie theater.
This movie projector and screen are so good.
Create a movie theater snack bar with a few items like popcorn, sweet treats, drinks, and any other goodies.
If it is bug season, do NOT forget to spray your yard and have bug spray on hand. Those little guys will ruin your movie before you even get it started.
Murder Mystery Party
If you are planning to have 10 or more people at this party, check out a murder mystery party.
You will be surprised how dressed up(make sure to ask them on the invite) and into this party your guests will be.
Here is a good place to find premade Murder Mystery Packets (not sponsored). They come with everything you need.
Scavenger Hunt
Divide your guests into teams and send them on a scavenger hunt around your town/neighborhood.
Some rules I always include are a time limit and photo proof of the item with a team member in each photo.
This one is dynamite!
Casino Night
If playing cards is something he likes, plan a casino night.
A nice set of poker chips makes for a great gift if he doesn't already have them.
Mexican Fiesta

I have yet to hear anyone say they don’t like a good Mexican fiesta and it is so easy!
A taco bar and Margaritas, bring them on!
Girl, margaritas aren’t my first drink of choice but let me tell you, the Margaritaville Margarita Machine is what you need to make the best ones.
Snag this full-sized sombrero for the birthday boy and these sombrero headbands for your guests to wear.
I highly also recommend a pinata or 2 if you have any kids coming to your party.
Game Night
Invite friends and family over for some board games.
Catch Phrase and Pictionary are so much for if you have a group.
Plan to have lots of appetizers, snacks, and drinks.
Favorite Color Theme
If your guy has a favorite color or 2, throw a color-themed party.
One of my good friends is nuts over red and black (she even themed her wedding in this) so everyone wore those colors.
Pirate Theme
Don’t look at me like that, you heard me right – Pirates.
Some people love pirates, like the Pirates of the Caribbean kind, and you can get so creative with it.
You can find pirate yard blow-ups, wear costumes, and of course, put up lots of decorations.
Have your drink coolers be treasure chests.
Don’t forget the chocolate gold coins. Kids go nuts over those.
80s Theme

Everyone loves a good 80s-themed party. Ask everyone to dress up and then bring on the neon colors and play hair band music.
Add some fun decorations too.
Roaring 20s Theme

Get your flapper costume ready for this Roaring 20s costume party.
Your guy will look so dapper as a notorious gangster.
Turn your house into a speakeasy with a code word to get in and everything.
There are so many fun decorations you can choose from.
We had this party for my sister's bachelorette party and I half-dipped Oreos in white almond bark and then sprinkled them with gold glitter. So festive and delicious!
Hayride - Country Theme
Ask your guests to dress like they are in a country music video😊.
If you live in rural America like me, you know how fun a hayride is. And it is simple too.
You can have snacks and drinks, and there will be lots of laughing on this leisurely ride.
Party Bus Theme
If you know the hayride won’t be a hit, rent a party bus to hit the town.
Disco Party

Leisure suits, Afro hair, and of course a disco ball are just the start of a fantastic disco party.
Ice Cream Social
Do you want a low-key, low-budget, and family-friendly birthday party for him? Set up an ice cream social.
You can even go the extra mile and do homemade ice cream – so good.
Make the ice cream ahead of time and store it in a freezer safe ice cream container like this one.
Set up a toppings area with so many goodies such as sauces, candies, nuts, whipped cream, and fruit.
African Safari
This is way cooler than you are imagining it! I know you have a little kid’s party in mind, and you are sort of right but take it to the extreme.
Decorate the inside of your house like a jungle with jungle-colored streamers, African safari balloons, and huge fake leaves.
Get animal masks for kids to wear, if they are invited.
We did this for my husband's 40th birthday party and I am not sure who had the most fun – the kids or my husband.
30th Birthday Activities
Take a Trip
Plan a trip for the birthday boy to somewhere he has always wanted to go. It is the perfect time for a celebration vacation.
Wine Tasting or Brewery Tour
Book a party bus (or something like it) and go wine tasting or on a brewery tour. The party bus lets everyone drink if they want.
Karaoke
After a few drinks, anyone will do karaoke. I have seen it😊.
If you want to stay in, try this amazing karaoke machine.
Camping
Whether in a tent or a camper, a camping weekend is a blast with friends and family.
We go camping with friends multiple times during the summer and everyone has the best time.
Sporting Event
If he loves sports, get tickets and invite some friends.
Golfing
Guys and golfing seem to go hand in hand, even if it isn’t their thing. A good time seems to be had by all.
Go with some friends or drop him off with his buddies and be their ride back home later. They will all appreciate a sober cab.
Concert
Concert tickets are a fantastic birthday gift.
Go Out To Eat
Going out to eat is the classic birthday activity.
Line up a cocktail party at a posh restaurant.
Or you can go to his favorite restaurant. Whichever works best for you.
Dinner Boat Cruise
Book a dinner boat cruise and let someone else take care of the whole party for you.
It is a great way for you to enjoy every second of the birthday party with him.
Bucket List
Does he have a bucket list? Let him pick something from it and you take the planning from there.
Let me know which 30th birthday theme you chose and how your party went. Also, if I missed anything that you want me to add.
I look forward to hearing from you and thanks for stopping by.
