Best Peanut Butter Blossoms
Ingredients
- ½ Cup Unsalted Butter
- ½ Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- ½ Cup White Sugar plus ¼ Cup to coat the cookie dough balls
- ½ Cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 ¾ cups flour
- 1 Bag Brach's Chocolate Stars
I love using the Brach's Chocolate Stars in my Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies! You can also use Hershey's Kisses.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cream butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Use the adjustable measuring cup for the peanut butter.
- Next, add white sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Cream again.
- Finally, add the baking soda, salt, and last of all the flour. Mix until all the ingredients are combined.
- Using the cookie scoop, scoop out dough into your hand and shape it into a ball. Then roll the ball in white sugar and place it on a cookie sheet.
- Bake the cookies for 8 minutes. At this point, the cookies are not done.
- Take them out of the oven and press a Brach's Chocolate Star into the middle of each ball. It should flatten to about ¼ inch thick.
- Return to the oven for about 2 to 3 minutes. Your cookies should be light golden brown.
Helpful Tips
- Let the cookies cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes before moving them to a cooling rack. A timer will help to keep track of this.
- I like baking the cookies for a total of 10 minutes. You get a softer cookie that way.
- You can try different kinds of chocolate Kisses other than the classic milk chocolate. Beware, keep an eye on the white chocolate ones while baking. If you leave them in too long, you will end up with browned tips.
- Store these delicious Peanut Butter Blossoms in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.
If you make these cookies, let me know how they turned out! What kind of chocolates did you decide to use?
I look forward to hearing from you and thanks for stopping by.
