Peanut Blossoms
Hey girl, I am so glad you stopped by to chat about how to make these deliciously classic Peanut Blossoms.

When it comes to holiday cookies and treats, things do not seem complete without making Peanut Blossoms.
My mom goes crazy with her Christmas baking, and Peanut Blossoms are a must-have on her list (among many other irresistible treats).
Now that I have 4 kids, we make a batch of Peanut Blossoms for our house every year (and only 1 because they still get lots more at Grandma’s house).
If you make Peanut Butter Blossom cookies and add them to your Christmas cookie platter, drop a picture in the comments below. I would love to see them.
Even though these are a Christmas classic, they are so good that you can make them all year long.
Let’s get in the kitchen and whip up a batch of these classic Peanut Blossoms that will be gone in no time.

Peanut Blossoms
Ingredients
- ½ Cup Unsalted Butter
- ½ Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- ½ Cup White Sugar plus ¼ Cup to coat the cookie dough balls
- ½ Cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 ¾ cups flour
- 1 Bag Brach's Chocolate Stars or Hershey Kisses
I prefer the Brach’s Chocolates only because they are more solid than Hershey Kisses. But they taste so similar.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cream butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Use the adjustable measuring cup for the peanut butter.
- Next, add white sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Cream again.
- Finally, add the baking soda, salt, and last of all the flour. Mix until all the ingredients are combined.
- Using the cookie scoop, scoop out dough into your hand and shape it into a ball. Then roll the ball in white sugar and place it on a cookie sheet.
- Bake the cookies for 8 minutes. At this point, the cookies are not done.
- Take them out of the oven and press a Brach's Chocolate Star into the middle of each ball. It should flatten to about ¼ inch thick.
- Return to the oven for about 2 to 3 minutes. Your cookies should be light golden brown.
Helpful Tips
- Let the cookies cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes before moving them to a cooling rack. A timer is helpful for this.
- If you bake the cookies for a total of 10 minutes, you get a softer cookie. So good.
- You can try different kinds of chocolate Kisses other than the classic milk chocolate. Beware, keep an eye on the white chocolate ones while baking. If you leave them in too long, you will end up with browned tips.
- Store Peanut Blossoms in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks (if they make it that long).
If you end up making Peanut Blossoms, let me know how they turned out! What kind of chocolates did you decide to use?
I look forward to hearing from you and thanks for stopping by.
