Easter Basket For Tweens
Hey guys, Happy Easter! I can’t believe it is here already. Where does the time go?
Even if your kiddo is too old to believe in all the magic of the easter bunny, I bet they still love running around finding eggs and their basket - just like mine do.
So, don’t stop the fun. I love hiding all the baskets, eggs, and adding in some items that aren’t candy to make it entertaining for my kids.
I am going to be giving you ideas for both boys and girls that have worked well for my kids and their friends.
I hope you enjoy spending this Easter with your kiddo(s).
Easter Basket For Tweens - Girls
1. Bath Bombs
If your daughter is anything like mine, she likes to pamper herself every once in a while. Taking a bath is one of her favorite ways to do this.
These bath bombs are so good. They leave her skin feeling soft, after a quick rinse off in the shower before she gets out. And they smell heavenly.
You don't need to give her the whole box, wrap one or two in cute tissue paper.
2. Lip Balm
Lip balm makes a great Easter basket filler and it is cheap too.
This pack of Lip Smacker lip balm has great flavors for your daughter to enjoy.
My daughter has these everywhere – her bedroom, the bathroom, in her backpack, and right in her school folder.
3. Hair Accessories
Does your daughter have hair long enough to tie back? Consider some hair accessories for her Easter basket.
My daughter goes back and forth between elastic hair ties and scrunchies.
I love using the hair ties too.
4. Earrings
Whether your daughter has her ears pierced or not there are some great options out there for earrings.
My daughter does not have her ears pierced (her call) but she loves wearing stick-on earrings.
She has given these earrings as gifts to her friends and I see those girls enough to know they love wearing them.
These come in different gem colors as well.
5. Notebook
Oh my gosh. My daughter is constantly drawing and writing. I find this stuff all over the place.
A small cute notebook with some colorful pens is a cheap option for an Easter basket filler.
Last year, I bought a bunch of cute notebooks and a pack of gel pens, which I split into smaller groups, to give out as birthday party favors to all of my daughter’s friends.
6. Stationery
I feel like the tween age is when girls get into doing snail mail. I think my daughter uses more stamps than I do.
This is a great stationery kit to help her stay connected the old school way to aunts, grandmas, cousins, and friends.
7. Microphone
I wasn’t sure how much a microphone would be used, but it is one of the most used items my daughter has.
We have singing and dance parties all the time, especially while I am making supper.
This microphone syncs up to your phone and is so much fun!
8. Puzzle
You can spend some quality time with your daughter while working on a puzzle. Don’t forget to let her pick some background music.
We have this puzzle and are almost done with it. My boys like to join in and help also.
My husband made us a puzzle tray. We don’t have extra space to leave it out and this tray slides under her bed nicely.

9. Books
Books make awesome Easter basket fillers.
My daughter is a mega reader and she has read these books many times over!

Legos
Legos are for your son and daughter. All kids love them!
You can't go wrong when it comes to the classic Legos. Anything can be built with them.
I find that my kids play with these way more than the Lego kits.
Easter Basket For Tweens - Boys
1. T-Shirt
My guess is your son has a favorite sports team or character. Get a t-shirt with that print on it. You can roll it up so cute to fit in your son’s basket.
All of my boys love the Packers , found at Dick's Sporting Goods, and Super Mario, found at Target. Of course, we have multiple shirts of each.
These are nice quality and have stood up being washed so many times. I did wait to get the Packers shirt one sale, other wise it is a bit spendy.
2. STEM Robot
If your son is into STEM, he will love this robot.
You guys, this little robot is amazing. We gave it to our 9-year-old for his birthday and he can’t get enough of it. I am pretty interested in it myself.
And it keeps him busy for hours.
A must-try!
3. Walkie Talkies
I love playing with walkie-talkies, and I am pretty sure you can't resist testing them out when you are by them either. They are just fun.
Your son is going to have a great time with them.
But don’t cheap out on them. We did the first time we bought them and then had to spend more for nicer walkie-talkies.
Spend the money once!
4. Football
With 3 boys, we have footballs everywhere and in every size. And they all get played with.
But there is one kind that gets the most attention and it is this football, we have 3 of them.
Some other great sports balls you could try if your son isn't into football are soccer, kickball, and basketball. We have these and they are amazing.
I also do home daycare and these balls are out every day we are out and get used, which is every day the weather is good.
5. Nerf Guns
As much as I hate picking up the nerf darts in my house, I love playing nerf guns with my boys.
We set up targets or containers and see who can do the best. I am proud to say, I have won a few times.
If you are already set on the nerf guns, you could restock their nerf bullet stash.
6. Games
Ticket to Ride and Trivial Pursuit - Family Edition are so much fun to play. My boys can't get enough of them.
7. Books
Books make great Easter basket fillers. My tween loves to laugh, so last year I found this joke book for his Easter basket.
He also loves the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Garfield.
9. Remote Control Car
We got my son this remote-control car for Christmas and it is great. Pretty durable and entertaining.
He has been waiting for the snow to melt so he can try it outside.
