MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
Hi there. I hope you are having the most splendid day.
You are on the hunt for a pregnancy gift? I have been there many times, and have been pregnant 4 times. These items below are a great start.
You can include as few or as many items as you want in this pregnancy gift basket. Your mama to be isn’t going to care how much you give her.
She is going to be so touched that you thought enough of her when you shower her with some love.
After reading through all these great ideas, let me know in the comments below if there are items I should include. I would love to add them in!
Generic Pregnancy Gift Basket
When I typed pregnancy gift basket into Amazon, this or a version of it came up. I have not bought it for a mom-to-be.
It does look like a good option if you want something quick. I feel like I do have better, more tailored options below.
1. Water Bottle
No matter how many or few of the following items you are going to put in this gift basket, a water bottle is a must!
I mean, we are all supposed to be drinking a ton of water anyway but when you are pregnant that amount increases!
Whattoexpect.com recommends 80 – 100 ounces of water a day. I remember feeling like I was swimming with all the water I drank.
The top 2 water bottles on the market right now are the Hydro Flask water bottle and the Stanley Quencher water cup.
2. Lotion
Lotion makes for a great gift for any woman, but it is especially needed when that woman is pregnant.
It helps with the dryness and stretching of the skin (stretch marks too). And maybe it was just me but it helped reduce my belly from itching.
A safe option is Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion.
I used this with all 4 of my pregnancies and what I love most about this lotion is that it is fragrance-free and is made for dry skin (which I have all the time).
My kids and I still use this lotion all the time.
Side note, why would anything made specifically for pregnant women have fragrance in it? Most pregnant women have aversions to smells.
If you know, leave it in the comments below.
3. Lip Balm
If you really want to treat Mama, put this lip product in her gift basket instead.
Since getting this lip mask, I have used it day and night.
It is so good and I put it into any women's gift I give now.
If you aren't using it, put one in the cart for yourself too!
4. Chocolates
Have you ever met a woman that doesn’t like chocolates? Me either.
Let your prego indulge a bit on a sweet treat. I say she has earned it with all the hard work her body is doing.
My absolute favorites are these dark chocolate caramel grahams with sea salt. I only know one store that makes them but specifically at their bakery, and they don’t ship them right now;(
5. Sucking Candy
Many pregos battle nausea or morning sickness. Grab a bag of her favorite sucking candy to help.
My favorites are butterscotch. Life Savers and Jolly Ranchers are my next best options, in that order.
During pregnancies 1, 2, and 3, the only thing that would help the nauseous feeling was eating. Great remedy until I gained a bit more than expected with my first pregnancy.
Thankfully I figured out that if I had candy in my mouth, I didn’t nauseous and I wasn’t gaining excessive weight either.
Oh yeah, let's not forget that 4th pregnancy – all-day sickness for 9 months! Sometimes there is no helping it.
6. Tums
Most pregnant women indeed battle heartburn. Toss a bottle of Tums to help her fight that uncomfortable feeling.
You can go for a bigger bottle of Tums.
These smaller rolls of Tums are also really useful. She can keep them in multiple places.
I had multiple small rolls and stashed them in my car, my purse, my lunch bag, and so on.
Never know when heartburn will attack a pregnant mama.
7. Digital Picture Frame
Mama is going to love filling up this digital picture frame with all the pictures of her new baby.
She can send the pictures from her phone.
I can't get enough of mine!
8. Bath Salts
Your mama-to-be is going to want to take a relaxing soaker bath as her pregnancy goes on. They are great so she can have some time for herself with her growing bump.
Include these unscented bath salts in her pregnancy gift basket. She will be able to have some spa time at home.
I loved taking long baths while I was pregnant.
9. Cozy Socks
These comfy socks made a great gift to my sister when she was pregnant and she said they were really cozy.
I saw her wear them multiple times so I know she wasn’t lying to me.
10. Gift For Baby
If this is a second or more pregnancy or you are just looking to include something for that little bambino, check out some onesies or hats.
I always had great luck with the wear and sizing of onesies with Simple Joys by Carters. There are so many cute ones to choose from.
11. Something for Dad
I try to not leave dad out of the gift basket. He is not the star of this show but he did play a major part in making this precious little creation.
All the dads I have given gifts to were not the type to want t-shirts, glasses, mugs, and so on.
Instead, I gave them their favorite candy, pop, alcoholic beverage, movie night treats, and more. You get the picture.
So, shower them with their faves. They will be flattered that you thought to include them.
This post was all about the best items to include in a pregnancy gift basket.
If you have any other great items for a pregnancy gift basket that I may have missed leave them in the comments below. I will always know someone that needs a prego gift.
I look forward to hearing from you and thanks for stopping by.
