Outdoor Activities
1. Bubble Lawn Mower
Your toddler is going to go bananas over this!
A bubble lawn mower is one of the most used and longest used outdoor toys we have.
I just wish it cut the grass for real, then I would never have to do it.
2. Sidewalk Chalk
Your 2-year-old will be able to get creative and practice some fine motor skills with sidewalk chalk.
You know you are going to use it too.
This is my favorite, yes, I have a favorite!
It washes out of clothes the best. You know your toddler is going to sit in it or find some other way to get it on their clothes.
3. Bubbles
Even if your little one can’t blow the best bubbles yet, get the bubbles.
Toddlers are more than happy to chase, stomp, and pop them.
4. Bubble Machine
Tired of making all those bubbles yet? Maybe try a bubble machine.
The character ones are cute but I love this one.
Just make sure to clean it out otherwise it will gunk up and won’t work for you.
5. Stomp Rocket
Ok, I debated whether to put this stomp rocket on this list only because it is rated for 5 years and up.
So, get at your own risk.
However, we have one and the toddlers, along with everyone else, love using it.
6. Picnic Table
This picnic table is small enough to fit on a deck but can also be placed anywhere in your yard.
Your 2-year-old is going to love having snacks or meals on it for years to come.
Mine sure do!
7. Camping Tent
A fun way to help imaginations grow is a play camping tent.
It comes with many camping and nature accessories that are a blast to play with.
It has 2 mesh sides so we always put it in our toy shed overnight.
8. Sit n' Spin
I still haven’t figured out the draw of this sit ‘n spin toy but toddlers love it.
My older kids still try to fit on it too and can usually really get it going.

Playsets
9. Slide
Kids love slides, and your 2-year-old is going to love this one.
It is the perfect size for him.
This slide is also small, so if you don’t have a ton of space, you can still get this slide.
10. Small Playset
This small playset was designed with toddlers in mind.
Your toddler is going to have a great time with it.
The only problem with it is that your toddler is going to grow out of it before she wants to be done using playsets.
11. Medium Playset
If you don’t have a ton of space or aren’t looking to go for the big playset, then you have to check out this medium playset.
Your kiddo will have a ton of fun on it.
12. Big Playset
Since I run a home daycare, we have a playset similar to this big playset and I am so glad we do!
Kids swarm it every time we are outside, in all seasons.
One of the best investments that you can make for your kiddo’s playtime.
13. Swing Set
Maybe you aren’t looking for a playset, and that is perfectly fine. But 1 thing you should not skip out on is a swing.
Here are the 3 swings that we have and I can’t begin to tell you how many hours I have spent pushing kids on swings.
14. Cottage Playhouse
Another great way to use the imagination is a cottage playhouse.
Even though you can squeeze into it, your toddler will love the fact that it is just his size.
He will be in it every time he plays outside.

Ride On Toys
15. Cozy Coupe and Pumper
I feel like the Cozy Coupe has been around forever and for good reason. They are fun and durable.
You can step it up and get the Cozy Pumper.
16. Rocking Horse
This rocking horse is technically made for inside but we ran out of space so we put it in the backyard.
The 2-year-olds that I care for use it all the time.
One thing though, since it was made for inside there is no drain hole if water gets in. That is an easy fix if you have a drill with a small bit.
17. Scooter
There are so many scooters out there for you to choose from. And most of them are solid options.
This is the scooter we have and it has lasted through so many kids.
18. Trike
Holy smokes, get ready for durable! This is a Radio Flyer trike so you know that it was built to last.
It has made it through 11 kids and it is still going strong.
This has to be my top pick for a toddler ride-on toy.
19. Balance Bike
I wasn’t sure if a balance bike would help my kids ride a bike with no training wheels faster but let me reassure you, it does.
If you are on the fence about one, I would say go for it!
20. Battery Powered Ride
Toddlers go nuts over any kind of battery-powered ride. Even if they can only drive it in circles, it is worth it.
We had a Lightning McQueen one gifted to us and my kids used it as much as they possibly could.

Balls
21. Balls
You can have any type or size of ball and they will get used by toddlers.
The balls that seem to get used the most are the small ones with the “gentle spikes” on them.
22. Basketball
This adjustable basketball hoop and ball is a great way to build confidence along with hand-eye coordination in toddlers.
And don’t forget to cheer for them.
She will just get better and better if you do.
23. T-Ball Set
This is a great t-ball set. You get the batting tee, bat, and balls.
And since it was made for toddlers, it is the perfect size for them.
My 5-year-old still uses it and it fits him just fine.
24. Golf Set
If you love to golf and want to share that love with your 2-year-old, you have to check out this Golf Set.
It comes with so many little extras and your toddler is going to have the best time with it.
He will be a pro in no time.

Sandbox
25. Sandbox
A sandbox, I can hear your groans right now because you and I both know that sand gets everywhere.
But try and suck it up and let your 2-year-old be 2!
The best advice I can give about a sandbox is to get as big of one as you can. You won't be disappointed about it.
There are kids of all ages crawling all over mine every day.
26. Sandbox Toys
You are going to want some toys for your 2-year-old to use in that sandbox.
These sandbox toys are durable with kid use and from the sun.
27. Trucks
Don't forget to add some sand vehicles to the mix. Boys and girls love driving these around.
28. The Big Dig
No matter what size sandbox you have, your toddler will have a blast with The Big Dig.
Word to the wise, make sure other kids are out of the way so they don’t get hit by accident.

Water Toys
29. Water Table
This water table is played with more than any other water toy at my house by far.
It doesn’t need a lot of water, but toddlers don’t care. They just want to play in the water.
I added this magnetic fishing pole set to ours and the kids are over the moon about it.
30. Splash Pad
Is it a wading pool or a sprinkler, nope it’s a splash pad.
Help your toddler, and the rest of the family, cool off all summer long by running through this splash pad.
31. Sprinkler
I love sprinklers for the fact that they are cheap and small, which is perfect if you don’t have a ton of extra space, and water your grass at the same time.
Best of all, kids love running through them!
This is the one we have and it had mixed reviews but I took a chance anyway since I could send it back.
It does a great job with very little water pressure.
32. Pool
A small pool will be so much fun for your 2-year-old.
Make sure to have your eagle eye on it if you leave it up for many days in a row.
Kids just love water so much that they will go to it in any attire.

Snow Toys
If you happen to live where you get some snow, as I do, consider getting any of these snow fun toys. Just because it is cold, doesn’t mean your toddler shouldn’t get outside and play!
33. Sled
There are so many sleds to choose from, but this one is perfect for toddlers.
We have been using it for years and it looks no worse for wear.
34. Snow Tube
If you get enough snow that you can make your own little slope with the snow off your driveway, then think about a snow tube.
Be careful about the cheap ones though, they usually don’t last very long.
35. Snow Brick Maker
Your 2-year-old is going to love a snow brick maker just like they love a sand bucket.
He will spend loads of time filling it up and dumping it out.
When he gets bigger, he will be able to build snow forts with it.
36. Snowman Kit
You are going to have to be a big helper here and build most of the snowman. But when it comes time to decorate it, your toddler will be more than ready to help.
I don’t know about you, but I can never get the rocks and carrots to stick in for very long.
Place your snowman near a window your toddler can see out of and she will be able to check on it every day.
37. Snow Paint
Your toddler is going to go nuts over painting the snow.
When you run out of the mix that is included, you can use a couple of squirts of this washable paint mixed with warm water.
Give it a good shake and you are good to go.
Our yard is so colorful every winter.
38. Snow Shovel
Kids love to be helpers. Grab a snow shovel while he wants to help willingly.
This shovel will be used all the time and for many years to come.
