Best Kids Halloween Party Décor
I am not going to lie and tell you Halloween is my favorite holiday, that title belongs to Christmas.
But this doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy making it incredibly fun and memorable for my kids, their friends, and all our nieces and nephews.
For the past few years, my daughter and I have been hosting a Halloween party with my family, who is quite large. We are up to 33 immediate family members so far.
All of my family bring lots of decorations to make the party what it is.
So, while I don’t own all of these Halloween decorations, I do have experience with them.
Happy Halloween!
1. Halloween Photo Booth
If you are going to go through the effort of throwing a Halloween party for kids then you have to have a photo booth.
I mean, you guys know you want to capture how all those kiddos look in their costumes.
There are a few ways you can set this up.
The easy and quick way is to use some foil curtains and festive balloons.
If you have some extra time then you can create a whole Halloween scene.
2 years ago, my daughter and I created these Charlie Brown characters by using huge pieces of cardboard and acrylic paint.
Either way, your photo booth is going to be something that your party guests are going to go bananas over.2. Halloween Hay Bales
We have always been able to contact a local farmer to buy a few bales of hay, we live in a farming community.
Hay bales make great additional seating if you need some, or they can just be decoration.
I like putting them in the photo booth area.
3. Halloween Balloons
Kids love balloons so why not put them up everywhere? And the best part about balloons is that they are cheap!
4. Halloween Balloon Arch
Take your balloon décor to the next level and set up a Halloween balloon arch or 2.
These are fantastic.
They are so extra, but they make an impression.
Double-sided tape is your friend when you put one of these together.
5. Halloween Blow Up Decorations
There are endless options here, and kids love them.
A few Halloween blow-ups in the front yard will do if you live in town. But if you live in the country, you should consider setting up a Halloween blow-up hay ride.
Our friends do this and it has become a tradition. My kids can’t wait to do it every year.
6. Giant Spider Web Decoration
I am not sure that I can ever put this up in my yard, spiders are NOT my thing, but this giant spider web is so festive and fantastic.
And huge!
7. Halloween Spider Decorations
Need to add some Halloween décor on those shrubs of yours while sticking with the spider theme of things?
No problem.
Spider webs and the little spiders that come with them cover a whole lot of space for not a lot of money.
Cheap décor is amazing!
8. Hanging Ghosts
These hanging ghosts are perfect for your party.
Add glow sticks inside them if your party is going to be happening after dark.
I feel like a Halloween party décor isn’t complete if you do have ghosts somewhere.
9. Halloween Black Cat
Are these a riot? Great black cat yard décor if you love cats.
Don’t be fooled though, they don’t glow in the dark.
They are just reflective.
10. Tombstones Halloween
I remember taking the time to cut out our own tombstones when my sisters and I were in high school. It was fun to make up silly names for them.
But if you aren't into DIY, then these tombstones will work great for you.
They come with metal stakes that can be positioned so you can put the tombstones inside and outside.
11. Halloween Yard Signs
Line your walkway with these little cutie Halloween yard signs.
They are made of plastic which will help them withstand any rain that comes their way.
Now if there is snow in the forecast, which is always a possibility where we live, I don’t know how they hold up to it.
12. Halloween Window Clings
I can’t get enough of window clings for any holiday.
Let your kids help put them up, and try to resist moving them. This is so hard for me since I like having balance.
They enhance every room without taking up space. Window clings are cheap and I love that they are so easy to store!
13. Halloween Bat Decorations
Since these aren't that big, I think these bats work better inside.
There are 12 of them in 2 different sizes so you can hang them up all in 1 area or spread them out throughout your party, which is what I like to do.
14. Pumpkins
Of course, you can't forget to add pumpkins and lots of them.
They can be real or fake, used inside and out.
If you want real ones and are lucky enough to have a bit of extra room in your yard then you should plant some pumpkin seeds.
You will be able to save some money here.
15. Jack-o-Lanterns
And let’s not forget about the jack-o-lanterns.
This 5 pack of pumpkins is adorable and they light up.
You have to supply the batteries though.
16. Pumpkin Tea Lights
I can’t get enough of these pumpkin tea lights.
They add the perfect touch to your food tables and the tables where your guests will eat.
17. Skeleton Decorations
These little guys are just the right size for hanging up or having them sit on a shelf or a pumpkin.
2 skeletons come in this pack and can be used inside and out.
18. Pumpkin Lights
We love these battery-powered pumpkin lights! They have been dynamite.
I got these lights after reading a ton of reviews on how terrible they get tangled up.
Honestly, guys, they have never gotten tangled for me and won't for you either if you just take a few extra minutes to wrap them up nicely.
19. Halloween Banners
Go big or go home with these Halloween banners. And these banners are large, guys.
They will make a great addition to your party décor.
You can also use them on Halloween night near your front door to invite all of those trick-or-treaters to your door.
20. Halloween Table Decor
These Halloween signs make great tabletop décor.
Just a little bit of extra fun for the kids to check out while they eat.
21. Halloween Table Cloth
Remember what I said, it is all about the details. Adding festive tablecloths is icing on the cake, so to speak.
You can add them to your food buffet tables and the eating tables.
There are so many cute Halloween tablecloths to choose from.
22. Witch Hat Decor
These adorable witch hats light up and are different colors.
They are made to work outside if you choose and are friendly enough that they won't be scaring little kiddos who may be attending your party.
23. Halloween Cauldron
You can fill this Halloween cauldron right up with some Halloween treats for your guests.
It is durable enough to have little hand reaching in for treats throughout your whole party.
A great addition to your food table.
24. Halloween Eye Lights
I love these eye lights since they have a suction cup to make them stick to your window.
They are just the right amount of “spook”.
My youngest loves them, and he is not into anything scary.
25. Halloween Hanging Décor
36 swirly hangings come in this and when you space them out all over your party, it makes it look like you have way more decorations than you do.
And girl, these are cheap!!!
26. Halloween Cooler
The kids at your party are going to go nuts over this drink cooler. I think it is a hoot.
This is not a cooler made to keep drinks cold for days, but it will keep them cool for your party. And it is just something to add to the fun.
You can bet your bottom dollar that they will be telling their parents all about it!
27. Party Lights
Bring on a dance party with this party light.
Kids love to dance and this light makes it more fun for them. It doesn’t even have to be dark out.
So, crank up the music and let them get some wiggles out.
28. Fog Machine
If you really want to get crazy with your dance party, add this fog machine.
Your kiddos will have the best time running through it.
The only downside is that you have to buy “fog fluid” for it.
