Best Beach Easter Basket Ideas
MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
1. Easter Candy
Even though you are making a beach-themed Easter Basket, don't forget to start your basket off with some Easter candy.
What do your kids like? Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, M&M’s, and Twix are always a hit here.
2. Sunscreen
When heading to the beach, everyone needs sunscreen and it has to be good!
For babies and toddlers, I have had a wonderful experience with Coppertone Water Babies Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50.
However, Thinkbaby SPF 50+ Baby Sunscreen is highly rated on Amazon so you may want to check that out.
For kids on up Equate Sunscreen Spray is amazing.
We have been using it for multiple summers and there hasn't been a sunburn in sight!
Sunscreen spray is so easy to apply.
There is also a sunscreen stick that you could put in your kiddo’s Easter Basket.
My youngest hates spraying sunscreen on his face so he uses this: Banana Boat Kids Sport Stick Sunscreen SPF 50.
3. Snacks
Kids get hungry at the beach. Make sure to add some snacks to the Easter basket.
Goldfish crackers are great for any age, especially the littles.
If your kids are about 8 and older, get some jerky. It is an awesome protein snack that will help keep their energy up.
4. Water Bottle
Staying hydrated at the beach is so important but who wants their water to get warm? Not I said the fly.
5. Hats
If you are making this beach Easter basket for a toddler, include a sun hat like this one. Toddler skin is so fresh and needs all the protection from the sun that it can get.
You can include a baseball-style hat for your older kiddos too.
Your daughter will love this hat since she can wear her hair up any way she wants with it.
And your son will enjoy a mesh back hat. Mesh back hats are a perfect mix of trying to stay cool and being protected from the sun.
6. Sunglasses
Add a cheap set of sunglasses for him that way you won’t mind if your kiddo gets them dirty.
We get these sunglasses to keep on our boat and they say for ages 10 and up but my 7 and 9 year old wear them just fine. They are only a little bit big on them.
7. Beach Towels
If you are going to the beach, then of course you can’t forget the beach towels.
If your kids are young and have a favorite character, get a towel to match. Or maybe it is just time to upgrade from a character beach towel to a more mature one.
I love giant beach towels, even for kids. They can double as a small beach blanket if needed.
8. Swimsuit
If your kids are anything like mine, they grew right out of their swim gear from last year. It seems to happen every single year!
For babies and toddlers, get long-sleeved swim gear. Once again, their skin is so fresh that they need all the sun protection that you can help them get.
Look at how cute this little girl's swimsuit is by Carters.
When it comes to the little boy suits, get a 1 piece shirt and shorts swimsuit. When you have a swim shirt and swim shorts, the shirt always rides up the back which exposes the skin.
As for the kids to preteen boys, these swim shorts and swim shirts are a solid option.
And for your girl, a swimsuit like this is perfect.
If you have a teen on your hands, do not get swim gear unless your kiddo helped pick it out. Just because you like it does NOT mean your kiddo will.
The beach can have lots of rocks that you can't always see.
All my kids have this brand and they are amazing.
9. Swim Goggles
Swimming goggles are fun for all kids, even if they don’t use them properly. They like the idea of them and that makes it fun.
10. Beach Bag
If you have a teen girl, she is going to be over the moon about this beach bag.
It is made with a heavy-duty waterproof material and has a softer inside material. There are pockets on the inside and a zippered top.
She can use it for more than just the beach as well.
I have this bag and as a family of 6, we fit all of our towels, water shoes, water football, water bottles, and snacks in here.
It is so fabulous that you may just need one for yourself too😉. Happy Easter!
11. Beach Chairs
For the teens in your life, add a beach chair or 2 to the Easter basket. These beach chairs are big enough for adults to sit in but they are low to the ground.
They can be used for camping, picnics, and so much more as well.
12. Beach Toys
Beach toys as a gift are more for kids 8 and under.
A bucket and shovel are certainly enough for toddlers but this set of beach toys will entertain your older kids for a lot longer.
13. Toy Beach Bag
I know technically it is for sports balls but it is more durable than your standard beach toy bag. And since it is mesh, you can shake the sand out at the beach instead of bringing it home with you.
14. Water Football
A water football is a must for every boy who goes to the beach who is 8 and older. Your son will have such a great time with it.
The extra grippy stuff (that's the technical term:) on the football makes it easier to catch the ball.
15. Pool Float
Oh wow, there are so many pool floats to choose from and kids love to use them.
Get a tough one like this if you want to include this in the basket.
16. Kite
Most of the time there is a breeze at the beach which makes it perfect for flying a kite.
Unless your teen is into kites, I would keep this for the 10 and under crowd.
17. Bubbles
Kids love bubbles! It doesn’t matter where they get to use them but it is a blast to play with them at the beach.
We have used so many different kinds of bubble brands but the Gazillion Bubbles is the clear winner!
Your kiddo will be full of giggles with this Joyin 2 Bubble Gun.
Just make sure you clean it right when you get home so it doesn’t get all gunked up!
18. Fishing Gear
There is more to do at a beach besides swimming. What about a little shore fishing?
Here is a great beginner fishing pole and it works for kids and teens.
If you already have these items then you should try some fishing tackle like spoon lures or bass frogs.
And girl, fishing gear is NOT just for boys! My 13-year-old daughter loves getting this gear just as much as her brothers do.
