Best End of the Year Gifts For Teachers
MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
1. Thank You Card
My father-in-law is a retired teacher and told me one of the best teacher gifts he got were handwritten thank you notes.
So, write that note!
I also have my kids write a thank you note and include a few things that they loved best about the school year with their teacher.
These are blank cards that I like to always have on hand for such occasions.
2. Flowers
I know flowers are more for female teachers, but I had to include them on this list. There are flower arrangements you can find for about $10.
Better yet, if you have flower gardens, you can make a bouquet yourself. Here I am, just trying to save you some money. You are welcome!
3. Gift Card
Giving a gift card is so easy and useful.
My favorite places to give gift cards include a local coffee shop (shout out to the baristas at Caribou Coffee), Target, and Amazon.
Your teacher will be able to get the treat they want.
4. Books For Classroom
If your teacher has a library in her classroom, consider adding some books to it. Most likely, that teacher had to spend her own money to build that library. Whew, that can add up even if it is over time.
All our kindergarten through 5th-grade classrooms have individual libraries and the students are crazy about them.
It is ok if you buy books that are already in the classroom. Multiple kids can read the same book at the same time.
Here are a few of our favorite book series that my kids love to read repeatedly.
5. Chocolates
No one I know has ever turned down a gift of chocolates. You don’t have to go crazy here. Just 1 bar of fancy chocolate is enough.
Last year I got these chocolate bars in bulk because it ended up being cheaper that way. I think each bar was under $3.00.
We paired it with a thank you note and called it good.
6. Yeti Tumbler
Enter your text here...
Unless you have been living under a rock, you know how fantastic Yeti tumblers are and that everyone would love to have 1 (or 3 like me).
It will be something that your teacher will use for a very long time, like years!
7. Water Bottle
Let’s be honest, there are water bottles and then there are dynamite water bottles. Hydro flask water bottles are dynamite!
I can’t get enough of the 22 oz size; it fits in cup holders perfectly.
8. Picnic Kit
A picnic basket and blanket are such a unique teacher gift idea. Summer is here and these will help your teacher get out and enjoy it even more.
There are different sizes of blankets to choose from but we picked the biggest one since there are 6 of us. This is more than enough room.
This soft-sided cooler is also amazing.
I originally got it for picnics but it is the cooler I reach for when we go out on our boat. It holds a ton of food!
9. Beach Towel and Sunscreen
I hope the teachers on your gift list will have enough time this summer to soak up some sun or hit up the beach.
Everyone can always use a great beach towel and sunscreen.
I love these towels because they are huge and absorbent. And this sunscreen has never let me down.
Let me know in the comments below which type of sunscreen you prefer – lotion or spray.
10. Restock Classroom Basket
If you know that your teacher will be teaching again in the fall, put a classroom restock basket together.
These items are ones that teachers ask for throughout the year or use a bunch of. And the best part is that you know they will get used!
11. Pamper Bag
I have a bunch of female teachers to get gifts for this time around and I will be putting together a small pamper bag for each of them.
These bath bombs come in a 12-pack so I am going to individually wrap each one in tissue paper.
You can also get this lotion (which is great for every skin type) and lip balm (which I can’t get enough of) in multipacks.
If you make 12 gift bags, they end up being under $10 a piece! I like that price tag.
12. Fishing Lures
Finally, something more for the male teachers!
Did your kiddo mention that his teacher likes to go fishing? If he is a fisherman, I can guarantee he has mentioned fishing in the classroom! Anyone who likes to fish just can’t help but talk about it.
Consider getting him a fishing lure or 2.
I love to go fishing and, in our area, we try for Northern Pike and Bass. My kids are already asking when they can cast a line.
If you are not familiar with fishing, ask around what people usually go for in your area.
These have been great at bringing in some big ones.
13. Lottery Tickets
Here is a fun idea, add a few scratch-off lottery tickets in the thank-you note for your teacher. I am not a lottery ticket person at all I never buy them.
However, I never turn down the chance to see if I will win any money when someone gives me a ticket. That anticipation can’t be beaten.
I have never won a dime though.
Congratulations on making it through (or most of the way through) the school year. I hope you have some amazing adventures in store for the summer with your kids.
