MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
Snuggle up with your little ones and read a few Christmas books, and if they are still small enough, they can still fit on your lap. Oh, I love it when they do that!
Christmas books do a great job of bringing the magic and joy of the season to your child.
They can also make such great presents. You can gift them by themselves, as one on to another gift, as a gift from Santa, in a Christmas Eve box, and so much more!
And can I just add, I absolutely love Christmas!!! Who else is with me? It is my favorite holiday and I go nuts about it.
Inside our house turns into a Christmas wonderland.
Every year I have to resist the urge to buy more Christmas decorations, books, movies, etc. I am just out of places to put them without making our house look like I went way over the top.
Merry Christmas to you all and I hope it is the best Christmas yet for you!

My mother-in-law makes a Christmas Eve box for my kids with many things including Christmas books inside.
My kids love it even though they know it is coming now. Thank you, Grandma!
You can make your own Christmas Eve box and keep it as simple or make it as elaborate as you want.
Here are some ideas of what you can include in your Christmas Eve box.

- A Christmas Movie - The Polar Express or Olaf's Frozen Adventure
- Treats to eat during the movie
- Fun Christmas Activities - Christmas Stickers and Christmas Coloring Books
- Christmas Pajamas - pajamas always seem to run small so be sure to size up
- Hot Chocolate Kit

Christmas Game
If you want, you can turn reading Christmas books with your kids into a game. Reading is supposed to be fun!
2 years ago, I realized we had so many kid's Christmas books that I wanted to try something different with my kids.
We have this ornament called the Christmas pickle. For those of you who don't know what that is it is an ornament that is in the shape of a pickle.
The game is that one person hides it on/in the Christmas tree once in the season and then lets the rest of the household find it.
Most times it is difficult to find since it is the same shade as the Christmas tree branches.
Whoever finds it is supposed to receive a small gift for winning.
I changed the rules a bit and hid it in the Christmas tree every day. Then in the evening, after the kids were in their pajamas, I would turn them loose to find the pickle.
There was a gift bag with a Christmas book waiting for the winner.
Most of the books were ones that we already had, but there were a few new ones thrown in also.
We sat around the Christmas tree and read the book before bed.
It was a great way to wind down the day and a calm activity before bed. This lasted from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas.
