1. Plates and Bowls
You have to get multiple sets of these kids' plates and kids' bowls.
They are sturdy enough to take the abuse from your littles and hold up well in the dishwasher.
2. Kids Utensils
Introduce utensils when your kiddos turn about 1.
Just stick with me on this. I know they won’t be able to properly use them but they will eventually. You are helping them build fine motor skills by using them.
Also, these utensils last forever. My middle schooler takes them in her lunch when she has apple sauce.
3. Kids Cups
Stock up on small cups that little hands can easily hold.
These cups have lasted for almost 13 years now, have been through the dishwasher countless times, and still look brand new.
An amazing find, if I do say so myself!
4. Sippy Cups
When it comes to toddlers, non spill sippy cups are a must in my book.
You and I both know that you have better things to do with your time than cleaning up liquid spills.
5. Booster Chair
If you are short on kitchen space, like I am, get a booster seat for those young kiddos! A booster seat that has a completely flat tray works best.
That tray can go right into your dishwasher, which makes cleaning up easier for you.
6. Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
It is one of those items that you don’t know you need until you have it.
Whether you are mixing up cookie dough or shredding chicken, this mixer makes it easier for you.
7. Jelly Roll Pan
And you should go ahead and get 2 pans from the start. Trust me you won’t be sorry you did.
These pans are also so helpful when it comes to craft time. The low lip makes it easy for kids to reach into the pan and that same lip helps prevent some of the mess that is bound to happen.
8. Muffin Pan
In my opinion, every kitchen needs muffin pans, not just daycare kitchens. They can be used to make fruit muffins, but also meat muffins, egg bake muffins, and so much more.
Muffin pans can also be used during craft time!
Since you are doing daycare and are cooking for the masses, you should have 2 sets of each the regular muffin pans and mini muffin pans.
It is so worth your time and money to have 2 sets!
9. Bread Loaf Pan
Even if you are not a baker, grab yourself 2 bread loaf pans.
You might surprise yourself by whipping up some banana bread, or something like it, for your daycare kiddos.
10. Flexible Cutting Board
I didn’t start using flexible cutting mats until a few years ago but now I don’t reach for any of my other cutting boards. And you won’t either.
There are multiple sizes to choose from but I love the smaller ones since they fit into the dishwasher the best.
These things are so handy!

11. Pyrex
With so many different kinds of baking dishes and mixing bowls to choose from, how do you know which ones work the best? Well, I will tell you that anything Pyrex rocks my world.
Food bakes nicely in them, they are easy to clean, they stack together great, and most of them come with covers .
12. Food Storage Containers with Lids
I never thought I could be so in love with food storage containers but, you guys, these things are amazing and you need them in your life.
They are microwave and dishwasher-safe. The containers and lids both stack so well when you are storing them.
And these containers are the perfect size for little hands to help put food on the table for mealtime.
13. Pizza Cutter
The best part about this one is that it can do right in your dishwasher too.
14. Food Processor
It is such a versatile helper and you are going to love it!
15. Pots and Pans Set
When it comes to pots and pans, stainless steel is the way to go.
They cook food evenly and clean up in no time at all because they are dishwasher safe!
16. Colander
Whether you are washing fruits and vegetables or are draining pasta, this colander is so helpful.
It is easy to clean as well since it is dishwasher safe.
17. Baking Stone
It can bake more than that too – cookies, bread, treats, snacks, and more.
This bigger rectangle one is the one you need!
18. Teapot
I am sure you are asking why a teapot is on this list but I have some good reasons for it.
A teapot is the best way to heat water to warm breastmilk, make oatmeal, make hot chocolate and so much more.
And if you want to whip up a cup of tea for yourself, it has you covered as well.
19. Measuring Spoons and Cups
With how much food you will be making for breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and maybe even suppers, you are going to want measuring cups and spoons that are sturdy and reliable.
We are back to Pyrex when it comes to the liquid measuring cups. They are heavy-duty and built to last!
You can't go wrong with this stainless steel dry measuring cup set.
And you are going to love these dual-sided measuring spoons. They can fit into almost any container or jar and are magnetic so they stack together nicely.
20. Kitchen Dish Towels
With all the dishes you and your daycare kiddos will be creating, you are going to need some dynamite dish towels and hand towels for cleaning up.
These hand towels and dish towels are simply the best. You will toss them in your wash all the time and they will come out looking like new for such a long time!
21. Cloth Napkins
Are you interested in flying through paper towels like there is no tomorrow? Me neither, but it took me a while to realize how to fix this.
Check out these cloth napkins. Yep, cloth napkins.
Just get the white ones and bleach them to look like new every once in a while, and you find yourself using fewer and fewer paper towels!
And you will be feeling a bit fancy pants as well.
22. Dishwasher Basket
This little, inexpensive dishwasher basket is going to rock your dish clean-up world!
It goes in the top rack of your dishwasher and you can put so much into it at a time.
From pacifiers to bottle parts to sippy cup parts and more, it will all fit and get clean!
23. Slow Cooker
This baby is a lifesaver when it comes to a one-and-done lunch dish.
