MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
(Perfect for Easter morning)
Before we get started, I have to ask, is the Easter Bunny still going strong at your house or is the cat out of the bag? Let me know in the comments below.
Since my youngest is 7, the Easter Bunny is still hopping around our house even though the older kids know the truth. Bless them for making it as special as possible for their little brother.
1. Easter Candy
You have to start filling his Easter basket with some Easter candy. Since he is getting older now, add in a favorite or 2 full-size treats.
Twix Candy Bars and Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups are delicious options.
2. Snacks
If your tween boy is like my tween boys, snacks are important and ESSENTIAL! I know they are growing but man, they are hungry all the time.
Amazon has a variety of snack packs that you can choose from. You don’t have to add them all to his Easter basket, just a few, and put the rest on your snack shelf for him to eventually eat.
3. Books
Keep building his library mama. Add a book or 2 to his Easter basket.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Lucky Luke Books are fantastic for tween boys.
4. Joke Book
If your son is like mine, telling and laughing at jokes is huge. He is going to have the best time with this joke book.
There are even jokes in there that you will laugh at.
5. Fishing Gear
If your son likes to go fishing, get him some fishing gear for his Easter basket. There are plenty of small fishing items that would fit perfectly.
We are freshwater fishermen and have had luck with these fishing spoons and bass frogs.
6. Binoculars
He can get a closer view of nature with a set of binoculars.
Since he is a tween and will most likely drop these at some point, I would go for a cheaper set here.
Save the high-end binoculars for a little bit down the road.
7. Laser Tag
This set of 4 comes with laser guns and vests but you have the choice to play with just the laser guns or guns and vests, and on teams or individuals.
Let him play out in the dark. Trust me, mama, it will be so much fun for him!
Keep a watch on the price, it changes all the time.
8. Walkie Talkies
He will also have a great time with these walkie-talkies. I know these are the grown-up version but they are way better than kid ones.
Don’t even waste your money on the kid walkie-talkies (like I did, unfortunately). You won't be sorry!
9. Nerf Football
Give your son something to do outside so he will go outside! The Nerf Blitz Football is amazing.
Somehow, we ended up with 3 of them, still not sure how, and they are reached for over any other kind of football we have.
I have to say, they are my favorite for playing catch as well.
10. Nerf Guns
A boy can never have too many Nerf Guns in his arsenal. He just can’t. So, give him a new option or 2 - Nerf Moto Blitz and Nerf Explorer.
However, if you think he does have enough then you can get Nerf replacement darts.
When it comes to Nerf Guns, is your husband just a big kid like mine and can’t resist joining in the fun?
11. Legos
Holy moly, there are so many Lego kits to choose from.
But do you know what kind of Legos will get played with the most, instead of being built once and then just sitting there, The Classic LEGOs!
That’s right, the classic Legos. Your son’s imagination will be hard at work with these babies.
12. Paper Airplanes
If your son is one to pay attention to the details then he is going to love this paper airplane book.
It has 10 different plane designs and a little bit heavier paper which lets those airplanes fly even better.
13. Games
There are lots of small games that work great as Easter basket ideas for tweens. Some of them are individual games while others are multi-player.
If you already have these games or don’t think your son would like them, try a deck of cards with his favorite character on them. There are so many card games for him to try.
My kids and I play cards all the time to pass the time. I always have a deck of cards in my purse.
Maybe he would like a bigger board game better. Ticket to Ride and Sorry are so much fun to play.
14. Slime Kit
Slime will always be fun for kids. This slime kit will keep him entertained for a long time.
And he can even make slime that can glow in the dark.
15. Remote Control Car
He can get this remote control car on the go inside and out!
If he does take it outside, it works best on the driveway (or something like it) and short grass.
16. Sports Cards
What is your son’s favorite pro sport? My boys are nuts about the NFL and spend hours poring over sports cards.
You will get the biggest bang for your buck with the Panini brand of sports cards.
And unless you want them lying all over your house, get him a binder too.
My boys have this big binder – 9 cards per page, and this small binder – 4 cards per page, and they both zip all the way closed so no cards can fall out.
17. Army Men
I know army men aren’t for every boy but if you have a fan at your house then you know there can never be enough of them.
This is a great set that is durable and will get played with.
18. Yo Yo
Toss in a yoyo. It is a great Easter basket filler since it is small and will give your son something to do on his feet.
Let me know if he can do any cool tricks with it. I can’t seem to get past sending it down and having it come back up.
19. Robot
Most boys love anything STEM and this little 12-in-1 robot is just that.
It will keep him entertained for hours.
20. Flashlight
I am not sure what it is about flashlights but kids love them.
They can use them while playing, camping, reading in the dark, and so much more.
21. Water Bottle
Upgrade your son’s character water bottle to his favorite color water bottle this Easter.
Hydro Flask has a bunch of colors and sizes to choose from. They are easy to clean and spill-proof!
22. Watch
If your son is interested in trying a watch, this is the one to get. It is cheap, durable, and charges with a USB.
My daughter and oldest son have it and love it.
So, before you go spend a bunch of money on a smartwatch that you aren’t sure he is even going to like wearing, check this one out!
You won’t be disappointed.
23. Crocs
Not the most attractive shoes, in my opinion, but man Crocs are easy to wear and they are comfortable!
I find myself using my oldest son’s Crocs to run outside quickly all the time.
My 3 boys wear them everywhere I let them, even during the winter.
24. Baseball Hat
Does your son need another baseball-style hat?
The mesh back style is fantastic all year long but especially during the summer.
25. Character T-Shirt
Character T-shirts are cheap and easy to put in your son’s Easter basket. Pick out his favorite character and run with it.
I am always adding t-shirts to my boys’ gifts because they just won’t stop growing!
26. Sunglasses
Help him block the sun with new sunglasses.
My boys have different tastes when it comes to which style of sunglasses they prefer.
My oldest likes the wrap-around kind, my middle son likes the aviators, and my youngest likes his party shades (that’s what he calls them).
27. Swim Suits
With summer just around the corner (it is here at least), I can bet your son needs a bigger size of all his swim gear – swim shorts, swim shirt (these are awesome to prevent sunburn), and swim shoes.
28. Water Football
He will have a bit more fun at the pool or beach with this water football.
The grippy stuff on the outside helps to catch the ball. And this football dries in no time at all.
This post was all about the best Easter basket ideas for tweens boys.
