Before we begin this mouthwatering recipe, let's review the kitchen supplies you will need to make chocolate chip banana bread.
KitchenAid Stand Mixer or KitchenAid Hand Mixer or Whisk
If you are not using a stand mixer you will need a mixing bowl.
Bread Loaf Pan (you can also use muffin pans)
Easy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 – 4 Bananas
- ½ Cup White Granulated Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- ½ Cup Cooking Oil (I like Canola Oil)
- 2 Cups White Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 Cup Chocolate Chips (I prefer the mini ones, but you do you)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Grease the inside of your Bread Loaf Pan.
- In your stand mixer or large bowl, mash the bananas.
- Add the eggs and mix well.
- Next, add your sugar and vanilla and mix well again.
- Then add your cooking oil.
- Up next is the flour. Remember to use a spoon to scoop the flour into your measuring cup so you don’t add too much flour. It should not be packed into your measuring cup like brown sugar.
- Add the baking soda and salt and mix one more time.
- You are done with the mixer now. When you add the chocolate chips, fold or stir them in with a spatula.
- Pour your batter into your prepared bread loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes. Insert a toothpick to check if it is done. If it comes out clean, you are all set.
- Cool completely before slicing.
Helpful Tips
- One loaf of chocolate chip banana bread is never enough. If there are more than 2 people in your house, plan on making 2 loaves at a time. It will get eaten.
- This banana bread recipe can easily be made into muffins. Bake regular sized muffins for 12-14 minutes.
- You can enjoy this banana bread plain or add some butter to your slice, yum!
- It cuts best with a non-serrated sharp knife.
- Store this bread in an airtight container for up to a week.
