I am not sure how the summer went by so fast but school is already here with my baby boy going into 1st grade and if you are anything like me, you like to start it off by helping your kiddo get excited with a few top gifts for 1st grade boys.
As a mom of 4 kiddos (1st grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, and 7th grade this year), I am here to share with you the most amazing gifts for 7 year old boys.

1. Books
You will see your son advance in reading so much this year.
Hopefully, these books will spark his interest in reading and encourage him to pick up a book more often.
These books are the ones that my 3 boys have loved the most.
2. Backpack
When you buy your kiddo’s favorite color, he won’t grow out of it any time soon.
Trust me when I say that these bags are built to last. My oldest son has used his from kindergarten through 4th grade. He is finally getting a new one this year.
3. Water Bottle
Let your little boy hydrate with one of these durable water bottles.
4. Thermos
If you can love a Thermos, this one is it!
Even though it is small you will be able to fit more than enough food for your 1st grader to eat.
It does what it says for keeping hot food hot and cold food cold.
5. Lunch Bag
It is so durable and cheap, which is a huge bonus!
6. LCD Writing Tablet
This LCD writing tablet is the best for practicing schoolwork and drawing pictures.
My kids each have their own and they constantly use them.
7. Sports Gear
Get your 1st grader on the run with some sports gear.
I know 1st graders are not quite big enough for full-size equipment but I would go with it anyway. These boys will be that size soon enough.
8. Stomp Rocket
Your son will want to see how high he can make this stomp rocket fly.
FYI they can go up to 200 feet.
It is strong and durable enough that my husband and I have given it a whirl so many times. Of course, my husband can make it go the highest – hero status!
9. Marble Run
We are so lucky to have a STEM program in our elementary school.
All my kids loved it so much that they played with it all summer long.
10. Games
Playing games with your 1st grader is an awesome way for him to wind down from his day and tell you all about it.
I learn so much about my kids this way.

What is the Pokémon craze like at your house? It is pretty hot here. My oldest has even been making up his own now.
A package or 2 of Pokémon cards, along with this Pokémon Guide book, will keep him entertained for hours.
14. Slime Kit
Oh yeah, bring on the slime! Kids go crazy for it.
He will love making it and then being able to play with it.
15. Legos
You can never go wrong with a bin of classic bricks.
To be honest, I like the loose bricks better than the sets. Kids play with them more and can be more creative.

Have you been to a monster truck show yet? I am trying to figure out if it is worth my money or not.
Either way, my boys all play with these Monster Trucks and I know your son will too!
17. Hot Wheels
How many toy cars do you have at your house? I have lost track but they get played with so I don’t mind.
There are so many games and races that your son can do with these.
My boys make so many race tracks out of the Magnetic Tiles that I will tell you about further on.

Mario, Toad, and Yoshi are the favorite characters around here, what about at your house?
19. Remote Control Car
He will have an outstanding time driving and chasing this car around your house.
They are made for indoor and outdoor use.
20. Magnetic Tiles
Have you seen these Magna Tiles before? Oh man, they will blow your mind.
We have 3 sets of these and they get played with every single day. Your son is going to get his brain turning with all the cool ways he can create with these.
I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT buy the cheap ones. They don’t work.
