Best Gifts For 4th Grade Boy
MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
1. Snacks
Does it seem like your 4th grader is always hungry? News Flash, he is! Get him his favorite snacks and maybe a treat or 2.
If you are looking to spice up his snack selection, Amazon has great snack boxes to choose from.
2. Clothes
Girl, do not underestimate the excitement the right clothes can bring when you give them as a gift.
One thing my son is into right now is Star Wars and he went bananas over the Star Wars t-shirt I got him as a back-to-school gift.
Size up though otherwise, he will grow out of it in a quick minute.
3. Crocs
Tween and teen boys can’t get enough of Crocs and a bigger size makes a great gift.
All 3 of my boys wear them everywhere they can. I even slip their Crocs on when I have to take the trash out quickly or something like that. Yes, my boys are getting so big that I can wear their shoes!
4. Books
Reading is so important at any age and there are some pretty fantastic, can’t put it down books for 4th graders.
If you don’t think your 4th grader is a reader, you just haven’t found the right kind of books for him. There are chapter books, comic books, non-fiction books, and graphic novels to name a few.
Here are a few series that my boys are into (I forgot to mention that I have a 2nd, 4th, and 6th grader this year).
I Survived Series (my boys love the graphic novel version best)
5. Legos
Boys love Legos and there is a set for everything these days, or so it seems. If your son is into something then get him that set.
Otherwise, go with a bin of classic Legos. This will allow him to get more creative.
I can promise you that these will get used way more than the sets. It seems like once the set is put together then it cannot be taken apart to be used as anything else.
6. Nerf Guns
4th grade boys are obsessed with Nerf Guns. Any kind of Nerf Gun. And it doesn’t matter if they have 2 of the same one.
2 Nerf guns my son has are the Nerf Elite Moto Blitz and the Nerf Disruptor Elite.
If you think he has enough Nerf guns you can always get him a bin of Nerf darts. Sometimes those little guys get broken.
I love getting in on the Nerf battles as well. But my gosh, make sure your kiddo is wearing eye protection. Those darts can hurt if you are too close.
7. Water Guns
He will have the best time running around and cooling off with water guns.
My 4th grade just got these for his birthday and is already making plans with his brothers and buddies for an epic water gun battle.
8. Laser Tag
If he does NOT have laser tag guns yet, this is a must-have. He will be able to use these for a very long time because they are so good, and he will not grow out of them.
Just last Christmas, my husband was having the best time running around outside playing laser tag with our kids.
This set comes with 4 laser guns and 4 vests and there are sensors on everything. The best time of day to play is in the dark😊.
9. Walkie Talkies
Midland makes amazing “Man” walkie talkies and I know your son will use them.
Why am I talking about “Man” walkie talkies you may ask. Well, girl, they are better than the kid ones and are built to last.
Even though they are a bit more expensive you will save money by not having to buy kid ones and then better adult ones.
10. Spikeball
Spike ball is a newer game for us and it is so much fun.
It is another fun outside game that your kiddo can grow with.
My brother, the fun younger uncle, introduced my boys to this game and then they were asking if we could get it at our house.
11. Axe Throwing
If you haven’t done axe throwing yet, it is more fun than you think. This set is very safe as the board and axes are all made out of plastic.
It is also a fun activity for adults if you have a barbecue/backyard party.
12. Bike
If your son is anything like mine, he grew again and grew right out of his bike.
Girl, a new bike all the time can get expensive so I always check used bike shops before I go for the new one.
But if you are in the market for a brand new one, most brands are good these days. You just have to choose between a mountain bike style and a BMX-style bike.
13. Sports Equipment
Even if your kiddo doesn’t play competitively, I am sure he likes to play ball of some kind around your yard. Get him a new sports ball or 2.
Honestly, there is so much sports equipment out there that I really can’t name it all here but it all makes a great gift.
14. Sports Cards
Let’s keep the sports theme going and talk about sports cards for a moment. If your son is into any sport, get sports cards for him and watch him spend hours going over them.
Panini cards are the best bang for your buck.
This zip-around sports binder is so great too. It is the perfect spot for your son to keep his cards organized, and in good condition, and best of all – they won’t be lying all over your house.
15. Sports Pennant
Pick out a sports pennant for your son’s favorite team and he will love seeing it up on his wall.
My boys have these and love them and we have given them as gifts as well and they were a hit every single time.
16. Pokémon
I could go on and on about all the cool Pokémon stuff that is out there but I still don’t know what you are supposed to do with all the cards besides memorize the character information from them. Can you fill me in?
Anyway, you can go with Pokémon cards, Pokémon Essential Handbook, and even a Pokémon board game.
If you go with the cards, include this binder. It is so good. The binder has a zipper that completely closes the binder so no cards can escape.
17. Military Stuff
Is your son into anything and everything military? My 4th grader is and girl, do I have some ideas for you!
18. Board Games
You will be surprised how much your son will tell you when you play board games together.
A few fun board games for 4th grade boys include Sorry and Trivial Pursuit – Family Edition.
19. Video Games
How long will your son play video games for – up to the last second that you let him? Yep, that happens here too.
But they are so much fun that I even join in from time to time.
I know that the Nintendo Switch is a popular choice for 4th grade boys, along with the Nintendo Switch Lite. If you already have these, consider getting him a new game for it.
20. Air Hockey
Do you have room for an air hockey table? You have to consider this before you get it because it does take up space but it is a blast to play.
21. Experiences
Take your son on an adventure and do something fun together. He will remember it forever.
You can try a rock climbing wall, go-cart racing, bowling, a movie, a museum of his interest, out to eat, the batting cages, mini golfing, and so much more.
22. Fishing Gear
Are you a fishing family? If you are then you know you can never have enough fishing gear.
We are a huge fishing family and my kids each have their own tackle box or tackle bag, fishing pole, and tackle.
Some tackle they all have includes these fishing lures, grub worms, and bass frogs.
They all make great gifts.
23. Hunting Gear
Or if he is into hunting, there is gear for that as well. Yep, you guessed it, we are a hunting family too. I used to hunt but realized that fishing is more for me so I haven’t been hunting in a long time.
Some great hunting gear to gift him would be these items.
Do not go top of the line here because he will grow out of almost all of this stuff. Save that high-end gear for when he is done growing.
This post was all about the best gifts for 4th grade boy.
