Hey girl, today let's chat about the best girls' weekend activities you have to try at least once.
It is finally time to get together with your girls and you are on the hunt for amazing girls' weekend activities that you will all be talking about for years to come.
Girl, I got you!
With 4 kids, I love my girl time, it is therapy for sure, and we are willing to try many girls' weekend activities.
I don’t know about you but I get bored doing the same activities over and over again and so do my friends.
From cheap to luxury, we are going to go through so many amazing girls' weekend ideas.
Buckle up buttercup, this post is all about the top girls' weekend activities that you can't forget about.

Best Girls Weekend Activities
1. Eat at a Restaurant
Going out to eat is a classic and I am sure that you will do this with your girls. But I challenge you to pick a new restaurant and pick something to eat that you have never had before.
My girls and I also have ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared them before so we can try lots of different things.
2. Wine Tours
Wine tours and vineyards are so beautiful. They always seem a bit fancier than other activities on this list.
I am not the biggest wine drinker but will have a glass or 2. Usually, I go for a sampler option if they have one since I never know what to get.
My friends though, wine is their drink of choice and end up buying bottles to take home.
3. Get Your Nails Done
Go and get your nails done. Do you know how much you can talk about in the amount of time you are in those chairs? It is like solving all your problems.
I have to say, I love getting a pedicure but those manicures, ugh, I can never get them to last that long and that is frustrating. So, I normally stick with the pedicures.
4. Spa Day
Bust out your checkbook if you are planning a trip to the spa because spas are LUX! There are so many different packages to choose from.
But if I am being honest, this wasn’t my favorite girls’ weekend activity. I didn’t get to spend as much time as I wanted with my girls.
And even though I felt refreshed, I also felt guilty about how much it was.
5. Hiking
A low-impact and usually a low-cost activity that you can do with the girls while getting some exercise.
As it turns out, we all love spending some time in the great outdoors so we started adding some type of hike for every girl’s weekend. It keeps us from feeling like complete blobs from all the amazing food and drinks we were having.
6. Rock Climbing
I am not suggesting actual rock climbing unless you are experienced. What I am talking about here is a rock wall in a controlled setting.
My daughter did rock climbing at a nearby college with her friends and had a blast with it. I asked my girls if they were brave enough to try it on our next girl’s weekend, which they were, so we booked it.
7. Archery
My daughter did an archery class with her friends also and the moms that were watching all thought it would be fun to try. It was indoors and there was an instructor.
Next month there are 5 of us that are going to give it a go.
8. Dancing Lessons
The only dancing I do is kitchen dancing (mostly with my kids but sometimes my husband will join in). I have always been curious about learning more types of dances though.
Do you have any suggestions for dance classes? Swing dance seems fun but ballroom dancing is so elegant that I would want to try that as well.
9. Horseback Riding
There are stables all over the place that offer trail rides.
My sisters and I did this one year and had a wonderful time riding through the woods while enjoying nature and each other’s company.
10. Go Biking
There are so many people into cycling these days and trails can be found everywhere. If you think your group might like it, then go for it.
11. DIY Arts and Crafts
There are a few amazing places near me that offer classes on pottery, painting pottery, and painting canvases. The instructors are there to help as little or as much as you need.
I have been able to bring home a few beautiful canvases that I can’t even believe I created. My kids said I was like Bob Ross😊. Yep, they know who he is. My husband went as him for Halloween and now they are obsessed.
12. Broadway Show
Are you feeling a bit fancy pants? Why not go to the theater?
Fantastic performances are playing all of the time.
If you are on a budget, look for a local theater. The ticket prices are usually about half of what the big theaters are.
The best show I have seen yet is Singing in the Rain.
13. Movie Theater
Don’t want to get that fancy? Check out your local movie theater. You do know it is okay to wear lounge pants there.
What is the best movie you have ever seen in the movie theater? Let me know below.
I am such a sucker for Top Gun Maverick!
14. Cooking Classes
Everyone gets stuck in a cooking rut but taking a cooking class can help bust you out of it.
We have not done this one yet but it is on our list. I think it would be so interesting!MORE TO ENJOY
15. Yoga
Whether it is regular yoga, hot yoga, or even goat yoga, you have to give it a try.
No matter which one you pick, something funny is bound to happen and you will all be laughing about it for years.
16. Shopping
I know, I KNOW – who needs more stuff? No one. But we all will go shopping again.
Some of my friends can’t get enough of shopping. It is so relaxing for them. But if I am being honest here, I am such a window shopper and that’s it.
I was so broke in college and just haven’t busted out of that mold even though I am almost 40. Don’t get me wrong though, I buy stuff but I just don’t buy extra.
17. Antiquing
This is shopping but just a category all its own.
If my friends ask me to go shopping, I know they mean for clothes, shoes, household décor and such. But if they say, do you want to go “Tiquing” that is a different ball game.
I know we are going to visit stores that sell 2nd hand stuff that may or may not smell like musty old books. It is an amazing thing to see.
18. Concert
There are so many kinds of concerts you can see – professional singers, pianists, symphonies, and more.
I have been to a few different ones and the symphonies always leave me in awe.
19. Casino
Some of my friends can’t get enough of going to the casino only to check out the slot machines.
I am not much of a gambler so if I go along that is exactly where you will find me. Just over there putting in pennies.
20. Bowling
Do you have that one person in your group that is competitive? My friends say it is me. I would have to agree.
Bowling is such a fun way to get competitive with your friends because in the end, who really cares (unless you are me, I care but at least I won't brag about it)?
21. Karaoke
There are so many “remember when” stories that come from doing karaoke. Have a drink or 2 with your girls to get loosened up and then jump up on stage.
I have only done true karaoke 2 times but you will always find me singing along to every song I know when there is music on.
22. Board Games
If you are looking for a cheaper activity, try board games or cards.
Some of the best stories that have come from hanging out together have been with us playing games.
Our favorite games include Ticket to Ride, Pictionary, and Catch Phrase.
We do play Scrabble sometimes.
I can't remember which book I was reading but one of the girl's camping traditions was to play "dirty scrabble".
I have always been intrigued to try it but also too embarrassed by what may come of it. Maybe someday😊.
23. Scavenger Hunt
Create a scavenger hunt for your weekend. It could be simple or elaborate but it will be a blast.
My sister and I created a scavenger hunt for another sister’s bachelorette party and it was such a hit. We set it up so the girls would find a few things at each of the bars we stopped at.
Don’t forget to ask for photo proof of it! You won’t be sorry about that one bit.
24. Sewing Shops
If sewing is an activity you enjoy, plan to visit a few different local sewing shops.
I don't know why but I am always so surprised at how many people sew. It is something that I figured out how to do but not my love of a hobby.
25. Scrapbook
My sister-in-law goes on scrapbooking weekends with her girls multiple times a year. I think it is a fantastic idea and a great way to maybe share some materials.
I do make photobooks but it is always with the help of Snapfish.
26. Grab Coffee or Tea
Of course, this must be on your list for every girl’s weekend.
You know you are going to stay up late and probably not going to sleep in. Trust me, you are going to need it.
What is your preference? I am so basic; I love a Vanilla Latte.
27. Seasonal Activities
I love doing fun girls' weekend activities when the season allows. These are all activities we have done and then redone because we had such a phenomenal time with them.
You guys, I can’t pick a favorite out of these either. They all welcome a new season for me.
Go to a Greenhouse
Go to the Beach
Visit an Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch
Bake Christmas Goodies
What are your favorite Christmas goodies to make? Let me know in the comments below.
We love making cut-out cookies.
28. Kayaking or Canoeing
Did I mention I have 7 sisters? Yes, 7 full-blooded sisters (what a craze that is), and we try to squeeze kid-free sister time in once a year.
Last year we went canoeing and it was a blast.
I prefer canoeing in a lake to a river since the water is a bit calmer.
29. 4 Wheeling or Side-by-Sides
Last fall, a good friend of mine went with her high school girls on a Side-by-Side weekend adventure.
She had such a great time that she ended up buying one.
That right there makes me want to give it a go.
30. Explore Caves
This one is new on our list. Caves are incredibly interesting.
My husband suggested it and turns out there are caves all over the place. We are going to start with a guided tour.
31. Ice Skating
Depending on how nimble you are feeling, you can try ice skating.
A local college has open skate for a few hours every Sunday for a few bucks and it is packed all year long.
32. Sports Game
We have done professional sports games to town ball and have had a blast with them.
If you are trying to keep costs down, do the town ball. Sometimes I think they are more fun to watch than the pros.
33. Visit a Museum
We just went to 2 different museums in Kentucky and Tennessee and they were amazing.
Everyone learned so much and the tickets didn’t cost that much!
34. Camping/Glamping
What do you think you would go for – camping or glamping?
I go camping with my husband and kids and that is all well in good but if I am with my girls it is glamping all the way!
This post was all about the best girls' weekend activities.
