Melissa and Doug Baby Toys
0-12 Months
1. Soft Blocks
My young kiddos love when I set these blocks up and they can knock them over.
The Match and Build soft blocks get played with by my 1-4-year-olds often as well.
2. Cloth Books
My kids love the Kids on the Farm cloth book since they can take the animals out and get to know them better.
But I love this book because I can put it in the washing machine after the kids drool and chew all over them. I just make sure to put them in a mesh wash bag so nothing gets damaged.
3. Itsy Bitsy Spider Book
This Itsy Bitsy Spider book is super interactive for kiddos and those crinkly pages suck my kids right in.
I have noticed that anything with that crinkle sound is such a hit.
4. Stuffed Animals
This stuffed animal bunny rabbit is so soft and adorable.
My kids take turns snuggling it when it is reading time. It is a go-to comfort if someone is sad as well.

5. Rainbow Stacker
This rainbow stacker gets played with so much around here. It is such an amazing toy to teach colors and problem-solving.
Kiddos get so excited when they put it back together correctly.
6. Bead Maze
Holy smokes girl, kids are nuts over this bead maze. It is like a fidget toy.
I even find myself playing with it long after the kiddos have moved on to other toys, ha!
7. Melissa and Doug Puzzles
My kids are so into puzzles and I love them too. They help kids to figure things out – problem solve. We have a variety of puzzles but these are the favorites for this age group.
If you are going to get puzzles and want to spend your money wisely, I recommend getting ones that your kiddo can grow into. Sure, he may need some help at first but he will be able to use it for so much longer.
There are more amazing puzzles for older kiddos recommended as you read on.
8. Baby Doll
Baby dolls are not just for little girls, although that is who plays with them the most around here.
They help so much if a little boy is going to become a big brother.
Of all the baby dolls my daughter had, and she had plenty, this one was a favorite.

9. Wooden Blocks
These wooden blocks are so colorful and fun. There are only 100 pieces in this set and they don’t get you as far as you think.
If you are going to buy these, I would highly recommend going with 2 sets.
10. Stacking Train
Honestly, I am surprised at how much my kids play with this train set. I didn't think it was going to be such a hit.
If you have a little one that is into trains, this is a must!
11. Froggy Kickball
How cute is this kickball? My kids take it out to play every day we are outside.
They loved it so much that I had to get another one.
12. Hand Puppets
What a great way to let their imaginations run wild, hand puppets and Safari Buddies.
We don’t have a puppet theater stand, nor are we going to get one. There just isn’t enough space here.
So, we got creative and put together a berm made out of pillows and blankets for the kids to lie behind.

13. Ice Cream Play Set
Kids in the 3-5 year age group love to pretend and imitate real life. My kids love to play with play food, especially ice cream and tea parties.
This is the play food and tea party set that gets the most use around here.
14. Melissa and Doug Puzzles
I know we talked earlier about puzzles and going for a little bit older ones right off the bat. These are the ones that you have to check out.
Buy these and you will get the most bang for your buck!
15. Water Wow
If you are going to buy anything from Melissa and Doug, these Water Wow pads should be at the top of your list!
My kids, daycare kids, nieces, and nephews used these so much that they wore out. I would rather have toys worn out than have them sitting around looking brand new.
I just replaced them and my kids cheered when they got here.
16. Jumbo Coloring Pads
I am so pleased with these jumbo color pads. They are huge, as the name says, and have thicker paper, which I love.
My kids enjoy choosing from the variety of prints inside them.
We use these crayons with them. Crayola crayons are the best – and believe me, I have tried them all.
17. Stamps
Playing with stamps is like magic to kiddos and they will play with them for hours.
Word to the wise, make sure you get washable ink pads.
18. Wooden Dress Up Dolls
Oh yeah, these wooden dress-ups are so fun. Kids can change out what the wooden figures wear with magnetic outfits.

19. Rainbow Scratch Art
Everyone loves rainbow scratch paper and can get so creative with it. I even find myself getting right in the mix to make a note or picture for my kids.
You might as well get a few of these because your kids will be rocking through them.
20. Sticker Books
These mosaic sticker books are new to our house but oh so much fun!
We went on a road trip and my daughter had one. Thankfully, she let her brothers use it as well and they all couldn’t get enough.
The book was complete by the time we made it back to our house. We have since restocked these because my kids asked for them.
