Traditional Mother’s Day Gifts
1. Mother’s Day Card
Store-bought or homemade, both bring me so much joy. And I have kept them all.
I love Snoopy, so this card is a perfect fit.
The people at Hallmark sure know how to make them, don't they?
It is easy for the kids to make cards. And it will be a good time for them to craft and bond with dad.
Grab some construction paper, markers, and maybe some stickers and have them get creative.
A simple “I love you, Mom” written on the card is truly enough.
2. Chocolates
My kids know me so well that no matter what they get me, they always include chocolates.
What is your favorite kind?
I love these caramel graham crackers covered in dark chocolate and sea salt but I only know 1 local store that makes them. These are it for me.
A close second that any chocolate lover would enjoy are these chocolates.
3. Flowers
Paper flowers, real flowers, flowers to create a flower garden, the list can go on. Most women love getting flowers and I bet your mom does too.
You don’t have to go nuts over these; I know how expensive flowers can get. The best bang for my buck for a bouquet of flowers is to get them at Walmart.
4. Jewelry
Your mom is going to love it if you pick out a piece of jewelry for her.
What is great about jewelry is that you will find just the right piece to make you think “This is so mom”.
There are a few pieces I have that always have me smiling when I wear them. It reminds me so much of my kids and when they gave it to me.
My favorite place to get jewelry from is Shane Co. Their quality and selection are unbeatable.
5. Gift Card
If you are just stuck, and nothing else on this list seems right for your mom, go with a gift card.
There are so many great places that offer them.
- Coffee Shops (Caribou is my favorite)
- Nail/Spa
- Her favorite restaurant
- Target
- Amazon

6. Makeup
Mother’s Day is a great time to treat your mom to some bougie makeup. Or just restock some of her favs!
Since my kids are still young, I buy the makeup I want. Then I give it to my husband so he can help our kids wrap it up.
Some of my favorites are:
- Hourglass Blush in Mood Exposure
- Nars Creamy Concealer
- Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder
- Natasha Denona Glam Palette
I find all of these amazing options at Sephora.
7. Bath Bombs
Your mom would love to relax in the tub a bit and these bath bombs will help her with that.
These are moisturizing and smell great too.
8. Shower Steamers
If your mom is more of a shower gal, then she will enjoy these shower steamers.
They make your bathroom smell so wonderful.
Don’t be surprised if her showers last a bit longer since she will want to relax as long as possible.
9. Nail Polish
Nail polish is a great gift for mom. Even if she doesn’t wear polish on her fingers, I bet her toes get decorated during the summer.
I love Essie nail polish. It is it for me, so much so that I got rid of all the other brands I had.
Since there are about a gazillion colors to choose from, I know you will find the perfect color for your mom.

10. Yeti Tumbler
If your mom does not have a Yeti Tumbler, now is the time to get her one. She doesn’t know what she is missing.
They are for any hot or cold beverages and come in so many beautiful colors.
I have 3 of these and I use them every single day.
All of my other mugs have been donated, that is how much I love these things!
11. Coffee or Tea
You can pair that Yeti with her favorite coffee or tea and make a nice gift basket.
This is my favorite coffee and a highly rated tea sampler. Sorry, I am not a tea drinker.
12. Mama Bear and Cubs
Can this mug be any cuter? You know that mom of yours likes to stay hydrated throughout the day.
The Mama Bear Personalized Tumbler will help keep her coffee hot and her water ice cold for hours.
You can choose from 2 sizes and many different colors.
And if you have a lot of “cubs to add”, no worries. You can add up to 10 of them.
This would make a sweet mug for grandma’s as well.
13. Electric Wine Bottle Opener
This electric wine bottle opener is not completely essential, but it sure does make opening a bottle of wine easier and a bit more fun.
Your mom is going to love it.
My aunt introduced it to me about 10 years ago and I have used it ever since.
14. Blanket
Help your mom get snuggled up and warm with this super soft blanket.
It comes in lots of colors and sizes.
I have 2 of these in the biggest size you can get and I reach for them over all the others we have.
The perfect gift for me, since I am cold all the time.
It is the best!
15. Kindle
Ok, if your mom is a reader and she doesn’t have an e-reader then you have to check out a Kindle.
So amazing!
When I was pregnant with my 3rd, I got a Kindle as a gift to myself and haven’t looked back.
I love this thing so much and I use it almost every day. Not sure I can say that about anything else I have.
16. Digital Picture Frame
Last year for Mother's Day I got a digital picture frame and wow! Every single mom needs one.
My kids and even my husband stop to see the pictures on it every single day.
The best part is that you can send pictures to it directly from your phones.
17. Candle
I can guarantee your mom wants her home to smell as good as possible.
18. What I Love About Mom Book
Grab a big box of tissues when you give your mom this book.
She is going to love reading all the things that you love about her!
These kinds of gifts from my kids are the ones I remember the most.

19. Wind Chime
If your mom is an outdoor girl, like me, she is going to be thrilled to get this wind chime.
I have had mine for years now and it makes me think of my kids every time I hear it.
So sweet!
20. Bird Feeder
Help your mom bring more wildlife into her yard with a decent bird feeder.
I say decent because some bird feeders out there are trash.
Don’t forget some bird food to go with it.
Over time, I have become a have some morning coffee while watching the bird kind of person. It is soothing.
21. Garden Statues
Does your mom love to garden? Even if she doesn’t, you can help add a little something extra to her landscape by getting her a garden statue or 2.
My favorite is the little girl and boy about to kiss, but I am a hopeless romantic.
One of my sisters has this cutie little gnome.
Both are so good.
22. Picnic Basket with Blanket
You are going to have so much fun with this picnic blanket and picnic basket and your mom will too.
These will make it so easy to go on picnics with your mom and make some fantastic memories.
We have the biggest blanket since there are 6 of us.
I love that it comes with stakes so the blanket doesn’t get all bunchy. But it folds up so small and light weight that you can easily fit it your back pack on a hike.
