Best Small Teacher Appreciation Gifts
MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
Hey girl! I feel like being a teacher is a lot like being a mom. You work really hard and don't get a ton of recognition for it. But you know what, even a small gift will brighten someone's day.
All of these teacher gifts can be given on their own or you can group a few to still create a small teacher appreciation gift. I have done it both ways and our teachers loved their gifts.
1. Gift Card
I am all about letting my kiddos’ teachers know how good of a job they are doing and getting gifts for them. Everyone likes to be acknowledged for their hard work.
And one of the best gifts that I know they love to get is a gift card – to anywhere! It’s true, my teacher friends tell me so.
These are useful and your teachers will be able to pick out anything they made need or treat themselves.
My top 3 gift cards are to a local coffee shop (shout out to Caribou Coffee), Target, and Amazon.
2. Chocolate
If you are into the school year or almost to the end, your kiddo may have heard what kind of treats their teacher likes. Ask your kiddo and pick those up.
But if you have no idea, it seems you can never go wrong with chocolates.
Now, I have quite a few teachers that I want to gift so I always go with the bulk package of these chocolate bars.
It does save some money to do it this way.
3. Popcorn
Your teacher will be over the moon about this unique teacher gift idea, popcorn! Toss a few bags of microwave popcorn in a gift bag along with a handwritten note from you and ta-da, an easy gift ready in no time.
For years now, I have enjoyed Act II Butter Lovers popcorn but recently my dad said I should try Orville Redenbacher’s.
Let me know in the comments below what kind of popcorn you prefer!
4. Dessert with Potholder
One year for Mother’s Day, I got a box of dessert mix with a potholder and loved it. It makes such a simply delicious and useful gift.
I still use the potholder too!
You can’t go wrong with the Cookie Brownie dessert – so yummy!
5. Gum/Breath Mints
I know there are a ton of gum chewers and breath-mint people out there, so giving either of these is a safe bet.
Are you a gum chewer? I used to be when I was a kid but now it gives me a headache.
You for sure get your money's worth when you buy these in bulk. Easily make a little goody bag including a few packages of gum or a few packages of mints or mix it up and add one of each.
6. Lotion
Take a trip down the travel items aisle and grab some small bottles of hand lotion. With all the hand sanitizer teachers have to use these days, I know lotion will be a welcome sight.
Since you probably don’t know which lotion your teacher may or may not like, this Aveeno fragrance-free lotion is a safe bet.
I have dry and sensitive skin and this lotion helps so much. Scented lotion, even though I love it, has never worked for me.
7. Lip Balm
You can buy lip balm in multi-packs also, which makes it so easy to split them up for multiple teachers.
I have tried a crazy amount of lip balms and the one that I keep coming back to is Blistex.
So many others leave that white-ish goop around the inside of my lips. Do you know what I am talking about? Yuck!
I have these babies stored all over the place – in my purse, bathroom, car, and so on.
8. Pencils and Erasers
Now, when I say give your teacher pencils as a gift, I don’t mean the boring ones that work the best – Ticonderoga.
These are the best pencils for your money though!
I am talking about fun pencils! My kids’ teachers love giving out fun pencils to all their students as prizes and gifts.
This is a perfect way for you to help them restock the pencil supply.
As much as these fun erasers drive me crazy, my kids love getting them. You can toss in a package of these too.
9. Stickers
Oh wow, Elementary school teachers go through some stickers! It is a fabulous way for their students (your kiddo) to get more excited about school.
Here are some amazing sticker options that will last your teacher a long time, hopefully, .
10. Stamps
Along with adding stickers to paper, I have seen plenty of my kiddos’ papers come home with stamps on them. My kids get just as excited about stickers as they do stamps.
These rubber stamps are amazing. Pair those with an ink pad or 2.
This gift ends up being something your teacher can use for years to come.
11. Bath Bombs
This box of bath bombs comes in a set of 12.
I love individually wrapping them and pairing them with something else from this list, usually chocolate.
Bet you can’t tell how I best like to relax?
It turns out to be a wonderful gift for under $10.00. If you have multiple teachers to buy for, this gift idea is a no-brainer.
12. Candle
My friend gave me this candle for my last birthday and wow, I fell in love with it.
The scent lasts until the candle is gone and the best part is that you can buy it from Walmart.
Nope, it doesn't look like it came from Walmart either.
13. Expo Markers
I have had kids in school for 8 years now, and every year at least 1 teacher is asking for a donation of more Expo (whiteboard) Markers.
It may not be the most thrilling gift to get but your teacher will use every last bit of it.
14. Sharpies
Just like Expo Markers, teachers go through Sharpies. I would be using them too if I were a teacher. They are amazing!
I think the color variety pack is more fun than just plain black. Well, as much fun as markers can be, I guess.
15. Magnets
Who doesn’t love and use magnets? I have been in so many classrooms since my kids started school and it seems that teachers can never have enough of them.
You can be super practical about them and get clip magnets. I have these holding lots of papers on my fridge.
You can get fun magnets too. My son’s 2nd-grade teacher loves cactuses and we are gifting her these soon.
16. Nail Polish
If you have a female teacher to buy a gift for, consider a bottle of nail polish. Most ladies wear polish from time to time whether it is on the hands or toes.
I do love a good pedicure polish during the summer.
Essie nail polish has always been a rockstar for me. Red and pink are such classic colors that any woman would love to have them.
17. Lottery Tickets
I hardly buy lottery tickets except when I am handing them out as gifts.
No one will ever turn down the chance to win some money, especially when they didn’t buy the lottery ticket in the first place.
Well, there you have it guys.
So many great gifts for teachers that are small and won’t break the bank. Your teachers are going to love that you are thinking of them.
This post was all about the best small teacher appreciation gifts that teachers want to get from you.
Let me know in the comments which teacher gifts you ended up getting.
I look forward to hearing from you and thanks for stopping by.
