It is widely known that Valentine’s Day is considered a “Hallmark Holiday”, and probably not necessary, but we have the best time celebrating it at our house anyway.
We believe it is important to show our kids how loved they are and teach them how they can show their love toward others.

1. Valentine's Day Supper (In)
If you have little ones and can't find a babysitter on Valentine's Day or you don't want to spend a ton of money on a nice supper, create a fancy supper at home.
Your kids will love getting all dresses up and celebrating with you.
This is what we did when our kids were small. We don’t live near any family and didn’t know anyone in town to babysit.
Our kids love it, something out of the norm! I love it since I still get a sort of date with my husband.
It has become a tradition and I love showing my kids how to celebrate loving one another.
2. Valentine's Day Chocolates
For most kiddos, chocolates, and candy are great go-to gifts for Valentine's Day.
I know there are kids out there that can’t have candy. Don’t worry, there are plenty of other ideas below that will work for you.
My top 3 favorites for Valentine’s Day chocolates to share with my kids, you know you will end up eating some of them too, are M&M's, Reese's, and Kisses.
3. Stuffed Animal
Get a soft and snuggly stuffed animal friend.
No matter how old your kiddo is, this is the stuffed animal line to get from.
And best of all, these stuffed animals are completely machine washable!
4. Necklace
If your little girl is growing up before your very eyes like mine is, tear, a necklace will be a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for her.
You can get this necklace with an initial on it and choose from 3 colors: gold, silver, and rose gold.
My daughter's favorite is rose gold. She wears this necklace far more than the few others that she has since it has her initial on it.
5. Fun Socks
There are so many fun socks to choose from for boys and girls.

There are so many great books out there, and not just for Valentine's Day.
Help your kiddo become a great reader by building a personal library.
My kids love these books the most and I know your kiddo will too.
You can also give books to your tweens and teens as a Valentine’s Day gift but I would recommend getting something you know they will read!

7. Bubble Bath and Bath Bombs
Bubble baths and bath bombs are a great way to pamper your daughter or son!
On the weekends when you have some time to spare, and if your kiddo is old enough, let them use either of these and play in the bath for a while.
You can relax in the bathroom with them and catch up on a good book or cruise the internet for a bit while they play.

My oldest son loves to draw and he has been using this tracing pad nonstop since he got it. It is so light and mobile that he brings it in the car so he can draw even when it is dark.

I have 3 boys and they can’t get enough of this. My daughter can’t be left out and most of the time I see her joining in on the fun.

You can always go with the classic Lego bricks and let your child create on his own.
We have a mix of classic bricks and sets. They are all played with.
But it seems to me that once the sets are built my kids don’t want to ruin them. So, the classic bricks get played with the most!
