MORE FOR YOU TO ENJOY
1. Backpack
Does she need a new backpack? Well, maybe she doesn’t NEED one but does she want an upgrade?
JanSport has awesome backpacks that last. If you pick a different brand, make sure it has a water bottle holder.
2. Locker Mirror
A locker mirror is extremely essential for 8th grade girls. If she doesn’t have one yet then this is a must have!
3. Fun Pens and Pencils
Spice up her life with nice mechanical pencils and fun colored pens. Sometimes the little things are all you really need to brighten your day.
4. Water Bottle
I am sure your daughter is on the water bottle craze just as much as every single teen girl I know.
Hydro Flask and Stanley Quencher are both phenomenal water bottles. Ask what color she would like.
It might ruin the surprise but by now, she likes what she likes and will be more likely to use the stuff she likes.
5. Clothes
Of course, back to school means getting some new clothes. Take her shopping.
What stores does she love the most? Let me know in the comments below.
You can also see if there is any school gear for sale. We are lucky enough to have a business in town that makes school gear so we can pop right into the store to try stuff on.
6. Belt Bag
When I first saw these bags, I was like huh? Mostly I was questioning how the girls wear them like a sash, which I still don’t understand but it works.
However, a belt bag is perfect for 8th grade girls. It is small and they don’t have much to carry anyway.
7. Treats
What is your girl’s favorite treat? Toss a few into this gift.
My daughter loves Extra gum, can’t get enough.
8. Camera
Girls love taking pictures. If she doesn’t have an Instax Camera by now, you need to get her one.
And don’t forget the film, which makes great stocking stuffers and Easter basket fillers too.
My daughter has her camera out every single time her friends are over and they are over all the time!
9. Body Spray
Since there are a few different scents, you may have to ask your girl what her favorite is.
11. Sugar Body Scrub
It will make her skin feel soft and smooth.
I kept hearing so many good things about it and got it for my 16-year-old nieces that I had to try it.
12. Lotion
When it comes to lotion, please keep it simple and go for the travel size.
Aveeno fragrance-free lotion is fabulous and when you get this 3-pack of the travel size, she can store them in multiple places such as her locker, her gym locker, and at home.
13. Lip Balm
Lip balm and lip gloss are what 8th grade girls need when it comes to lip products and yes, she does need new lip products for 8th grade.
This lip balm is so hydrating and popular.
If she is new to lip gloss, have her try this Maybelline Lifter Gloss. It is so comfortable to wear, easy to apply, and affordable.
14. Hair Accessories
Claw clips, hair ties, a new hair brush, she needs them all and she will use them all.
15. Face Wash and Face Lotion
For 8th grade girls, keeping their face clean and hydrated is ultra important for keeping those nasty pimples at bay.
Face wash, such as Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, and face lotion, such as Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisture SPF 30 or CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF, are so good and gentle for teen girls.
16. Beauty Bag
As girls get older, they start adding products into their daily routine. And that probably means that she wants to travel with those items as well.
17. String Lights
She can spice up her room with these string lights.
They give off more light than you think too.
You can put them up with these amazing little command hooks or even Scotch tape since the string is so light.
18. Saucer Chair
After she gets done telling you about every detail of her day, she will retreat to her room and spend hours in this saucer chair.
It is comfy and she can read, write, and even do virtual learning in it.
19. Kindle
If she is a reader, get her a Kindle.
Make sure to get the cover too. No matter how careful your girl is, it will hit the floor at some point.
A special note for you. Save money by having her check out eBooks from your local library. It is so easy and free.
20. Drawing Kit
Is your daughter into drawing? Get her a fresh set of drawing supplies – a sketch pad and drawing pencils.
I am jealous of those who can draw so well, the natural artist. It has always been something I have wanted to be good at.
21. Writing Kit
Give your girl an outlet with a writing kit. It could be as simple as a nice notebook with beautiful pens.
My girl writes all the time and is always asking for more paper.
22. Personalized Stationery
My daughter and I stumbled upon this personalized stationery for her friend’s birthday gift and she loved it so much that I am getting it for her as a back to school gift.
I just know that your daughter will love it too.

Get your girl a watch. This fitness tracker is so good and fairly inexpensive.
My daughter and oldest son have it and they both wear it all the time.
Who knows, maybe it will help her be on time more often. Maybe?!
24. Nail Polish
Help her nails look so good with a new polish or 2.
Essie has a huge color selection and the quality is so good.
Don’t forget a clear top coat to help make that polish last as long as possible.
What is your favorite shade to wear? Let me know in the comments below. I love a classic bold red.

My daughter and I have gifted them so many times now and we each have a pair too.
27. Travel Mirror
Your girl will be on the go no more than ever but I know she will want to make sure she is looking her best. Get her this travel mirror.
It is slim and the cover flips open to become the stand.
If you don’t have one, girl, you need one too!
28. Yeti Tumbler
If you are anything like me, you have a water bottle for cold drinks and you have a Yeti Tumbler for hot drinks. So extra, I know, it is true.
And if your daughter is anything like mine, she keeps taking your Yeti Tumbler.
Problem solved - get your girl a Yeti Tumbler in her favorite color so she will stop taking yours.
